Default Just a Copperhead JK

Replicating my cousins Jeep. Chassis is going to be the MEX steel frame for the China JK, SDI Scale Docs, some 5 spoke aluminum BLs from ebay, K44s, and possibly a soft top.

On to some pics...

1:1 inspiration

Chassis and rims

Progres so far

I am lucky enough to get a couple of down days from work, so I'll have to see what I can get done.

Ernie,
Yup, it is. I have some ideas rolling around in my head for a soft top, since the hard top doesn't look like it fits over the roll cage, and they both use the same front mounting holes on the windshield.

I'll have to see if I can find some kind of material suitable for a scaled down soft top.

My favorite place to R&D search is Goodwill, you will find what you need there!

Ernie,
Will definitely be looking into that.

Progress is good...

Got most of the chassis together. Still waiting for my transfer case and shocks. Did some more painting on it too.

More soon.

Your body came out nice. Be sure to check out the toy section, I have found some nice drivers, and hard bodies for under $5.00!

Wow! It's been a while since I did anything on this one. As far as the body, it's complete and put back together. I snapped some pics of it topless and with the hard top. It is set on the chassis and fully linked front and rear with coil-overs. Just a roller for now. It may end up with a soft top to go with the topless roll bar look.

I also am going to add an additional body with a hard-top, and different rims and tires. If anyone has an extra 1.7 Wrangler MTR they want to sell, I'd be most happy to buy it, as it needs a spare. This is the new look...

...and I'm gonna try to hand fab one of these for the front.

Here is how it sits right now.
