Replicating my cousins Jeep. Chassis is going to be the MEX steel frame for the China JK, SDI Scale Docs, some 5 spoke aluminum BLs from ebay, K44s, and possibly a soft top. On to some pics... 1:1 inspiration Chassis and rims Progres so far I am lucky enough to get a couple of down days from work, so I'll have to see what I can get done. |

I'll have to see if I can find some kind of material suitable for a scaled down soft top. | |

My favorite place to R&D search is Goodwill, you will find what you need there! Ernie, |

Your body came out nice. Be sure to check out the toy section, I have found some nice drivers, and hard bodies for under $5.00!

Wow! It's been a while since I did anything on this one. As far as the body, it's complete and put back together. I snapped some pics of it topless and with the hard top. It is set on the chassis and fully linked front and rear with coil-overs. Just a roller for now. It may end up with a soft top to go with the topless roll bar look. I also am going to add an additional body with a hard-top, and different rims and tires. If anyone has an extra 1.7 Wrangler MTR they want to sell, I'd be most happy to buy it, as it needs a spare. This is the new look... ...and I'm gonna try to hand fab one of these for the front. Here is how it sits right now. |
