Love what you did! Do you think the 1/18 D90 body is too small to put on a 1/18 Losi mini crawler? I know the Gelande is small for a 1/18th.

Finally decided on a colour after painting it twice hehehe, the camel trophy just had to be camel yellow, nothing else was really doing the job. I had a vision but it didn't work, just looked wrong.
So this little pickup is taking shape, loving the backlit dials

Body is off eBay, £35 from china - can't fault them.
Bed is leftovers from an axial honcho build on my scx10.

Ok thanks. I will look for some TF2 bodies to practice dents and stuff on

If they are same quality as the RC4WD stuff then its a win win

I have both the Chinese body and an original Rc4wd one - there is no difference- look like they're out of the same mound to me. Both as tough and as detailed as each other

I picked up some Kahn arches for cheap, they're 3D printed so the finish took a lot of filler primer and sanding to get right. The vents in the front wings were lacking detail so I've cut them out and have a plan

Drilling and tapping some threads for some more details that are in progress

Thanks man!

Lots done today but everything is clamped together and not sure I'll get any pics up today.

There's a body under all that mess I promise!

Left the clamps on for around 12 hours as I was worried about adhesion, looks to have done the job as when you lined the wings up it was as though the shell was twisted slightly - probably from cutting the front out and adding the Kahn front end.

Still got to glue the rears but will do that before I head out with the other cars this morning and hopefully done by this evening.

I liked that this was a bit different from other mudflats I've seen so I was sold, took a bit of dremel work to get them fitting properly...

This is the mesh I used - 1mm for the small holes in the top of the flap mounts.

And the Kahn additions, pretty happy - still a bit rough in places but the 3D printed parts were not the best - won't be buying those again.

Used the same mesh for the various grilles.

Got the front mud flaps fitting nicely too
