Thanks Terrible 1. I just realized that I need to order shock hoops for this chassis. VP will be my first choice since I'll be running their Rock Jock SCX10-2 axles.

I was waiting for someone to catch that. I wasn’t going to post any pics of the Ford originally just because this thread is about the PW. Yeah I can’t take credit for the housings. My buddy that actually owns thes rigs had them color matched on his own locally. The pics don’t do it justice and they definitely elevated that rig to a true “Shelf Queen”!

No worries. Yeah I used the V1 hoops on this one. They are simpler looking versus the V2 hoops. It’s tough to find the V1’s these days. As far as the axle housings, the funny thing is I’m a huge fan of the Rock Jocks over the F9’s but my buddy being the owner is the opposite so of course he won on which axle housing we used. I run the Rock Jocks on all my own 1.9 rigs.

Funday! Finally had the chance to get her out on some rocks and gotta say, I’m very happy with how she ran! This was the first run with the Ford as well. We all cringed every time we heard metal hit the rocks! All in all though, great day out! Some shots from our morning run:

Great pics!! I bet it was tough for Rusty to get those first few scratches. Looks like a killer crawl place you guys have there

Thanks! Well we took it easy on these 2. The real carnage was on our other rigs. I promised him we’d mainly trail these two with some light crawling. His biggest worry was the axles on the Ford since they are kind of the show piece of the truck. The chassis’s are easily touched up. I didn’t want to have to title these “Shelf Queens” since they’re built so well! Folsom Lake is definitely The spot in our area. When the water’s low, it’s tough to find anywhere that beats its terrain. Unfortunately, the water has been rising with the weather we’ve been having so at least half of what we normally have available to us is under water now. Good for or water supply, not so good for our recreation.

Both rigs are incredible! Nice work!

What color (and backer) did you paint the PW body?

And the same for the Ford body if you don't mind.

Thanks, appreciate it! As far as the paint, both bodies came with the chassis’s originally painted by Pimpin Crawlers. Not 100% on the colors but both are backed in black. I want to say the PW is a metallic blue and the Ford is a candy red.

Both bodies are painted with Spaz Stix paints. Both are a three stage paint job. Ford is Candy red backed with a metallic silver backed with a black backer. PW is Candy Blue backed with metallic silver backed with a black backer.

Thanks! Actually the F9’s are powder coated by a guy locally here. My buddy has been using him for a few different projects and has turned out some great work.

Super nice work! So funny I never noticed you were local. I have been wanting to get out to the lake the last couple of weeks, but with the water so high I hear the wildlife is plentiful.

Thanks! Yep I’m in Sac. I went out to Folsom for the last set of photos and the water was definitely high. We were at that first point from the parking lot at 5% and that was about as far as we could go. Still some decent lines but nowhere near what we’re all used to out there! If you’re heading to Crawl for the Cure later in the year, both of these rigs will be there with my buddy, the owner. We were gonna try to make Axialfest but, it’s getting to be too much dough for us to just have fun. Considering how big our families are, IMO of course.
