| Outrunner motor vs mud
Hey guys I've been looking for a outrunner motor and I'm leaning towards the holmes hobbies revolver but I'm not sure if it can handle water and mud that the inrunners can handle as anyone had it in mud or water? Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk |

I run mine in very dusty conditions, but personally would avoid mud and especially water. The motor is of an open design - it's not a problem with dust, as the spinning outer housing keeps it clean, but if you stopped, or even slowed down, in water or thin soupy mud - it would enter into the housing and cause issues. If your interior is somewhat closed-off, I'd think thick mud would not be a problem, however. Just my opinion! Reach out to Holmes Hobbies via email if you want the straight scoop directly from the best outrunner manufacturer... (also, these questions get better answers in the proper sub-forum, such as "Electronics") |
