Thanks dood! Yeah, Rox Lox’s are showing up everywhere. They just work so damn good. J

Thanks Tim!, TTC is cool but I just don’t like beating on my rigs like that. You guys got some balls.

I use some rubberized spay coating and various little aluminum strips to try to beef it up, but then it just breaks in other spots. I use all lexan bodies now.

Thanks Bigd003, I thought the styrene work would never end. I plan on modding it a bit more and repainting it before Montana. But as for the durability of the cab, luckily the exo cage is damn strong.

Nice bearings, super beef gears and great machining. Doubt you'll blow the gears out on this one. I've broken driveshaft’s on my Jeep, but the t-case has held up no problem.

Thanks Ecoli, I get that “Badass” comment a lot. The truck has taken the nickname of “The Caged Maniac”. I am currently not running weights, just been busy with my Yota 1.9r. I plan on putting a full wrap on weights on the front and maybe the back too, nothing special.

Good to hear about the GCM TC, I don’t think I had more than 3 batteries through my last killer TC before it blew, oh well.

Cool, thanks for the info. Just be careful with the weight, if I remember, it's a total of 12oz total (i.e., 3oz/wheel) we can add for scale nats.

Geez, 3 batteries, that sucks. Nah, my GCM t-case has had a lot more than that and has survived multiple people wheeling it. It's been one of those install it and forget it parts

Thanks for the heads up but us at WARCRC.org have been following the MSD rules since the new year.

I took apart my broken RC4WD transfer case and this is what I found. I just have to send it back to RC4WD, there going to hook me up with a new one, they rock. (It will go in my D90 then).

Here is the new GCM TC.

Here is the new GCM TC.
I have to say, the gears in the GCM t-case are definitely a lot beefier looking. Word of caution with the GCM case, make sure to loctite those big grub screws holding the gears to the shafts. I didn't, and then noticed a lot of play after a while. Opened it up and the grub screws had backed out.

I think Chris recommended using loctite, I just didn't as I hate loctited grub screws. No choice with this one, and the screws are big enough that they shouldn't strip out!

I made sure I used loctite, I have to take off too much stuff to get to the TC.

Nice work chewing up that t-case. The GCM looks like it should be stout enough.

-Put more details done on the dash and figured out how to bolt it in from the back side.
-Got the body almost ready for paint.
