It was, but I changed my mind, so the final Dingo body wont have 'em. It also wont have body post holes...

Sickidy doo-dah Ryan, I really like the look of both the front and rear tube work.
Thanks The Handler, Glad you like her!

Looks good so far Ryan. If it wasn't for the rear part of the rails, I'd say it almost looked like a truggy . Are you planning on making some steel shock mount points so the plastic ones don't snap on the first hard landing?
If the plastic ones break, I make with metal. It does have the truggy look.

Ok, now she's getting sexy!

Here you can see where the roof section will bolt to the rear cage.

And where it'll sandwich in front:

Grrrrrr.

Roof cross bars:

Light bar:

Arse:

rails:

Pissed!

Naked:

Fender supports:

Azz:

Fairlead:

More bracing and nuts:

Here she is for now! I need to ad more nuts, a servo mount, and take the whole chassis apart and weld it up a bit more, the clean and grind it a bit. Then the detail stuff...

Thanks!

Good stuff. So, with the back end open, does that mean you're planning on running a spare tire with this beast, or just for accessing the box in the rear?

Brazing on panel nuts is so much fun, I can only imagine what it's like welding them on!

Killer tube work Ryan!

BTW, I just picked up a Summit trans, do you get a 1/4 to 1/2 turn of slop on your output shafts when you hold the spur gear? I was wondering if it would affect rolling back on a incline or etc.

It's an optional battery compartment, in case I need more run time. Welding them on it... tricky, but I'm 95% successful these days, which is fine for me!

Yup, normal to have slop, but it's BEEF! Just keep on a bit of throttle climbing and you'll be ok. If you need to stop the climb for any reason you probably need to reverse anyway!

I love the Radillac, and this certainly has that 'racey' look to it. If I do plates they'll be Lexan- this thing has enough metal on it for now!
Thanks!

I'll weigh her in a few different states tomorrow morning, which is the next day I'll be working on it.

Video should be interesting!

That thing is going to be crazy..I had a 2200 KV in my Hyper-9E and from a dead stop it would clear a 20 ft double...... That motor you have will have even more torque if it holds up..I ran Tekin for a while, but gave up..they had to many issue with there Magnets coming unglued from heat .I guess to save money they skipped a process....My friend was sponsored by them and he ran a Momba in his 1/8 scale..(their speed controls are even worse)they could not take the impact and would brake the main boards ..Hopefully you got a new one....You will know..My first one did not even make a pass down my street
