Gorgeous build! Some of the nicest tubework I've seen.

After months of wheeling i decided to tear it down and give it some much needed love, added 86jeep style steer to both diffs, 35t HH motors, super300's to the front diff, may still get some for the rear but ill see how the wallet feelsand now running Losi gold springs instead of internal compression springs. Also on the to do list is replace all the rod ends.
Next is to add the front tube guards like the 1.1 has, and chemically strip all the paint off and give it a splash of paint. Not sure wether to go silver, grey or black on the cage.
Also changed the wheels to VP DH's. Still running the TSL's.

Nice job on the rig seen it a few times in the mags ect. Looks just like the real beast. Now you just need hydraulic shocks and just like the real thing change drivers... I'll vote for myself

I dig it. I remember my first scaler had the same berg axles.....it was a Unimog. Lots of haters but it sure kept the weight low!!

Yes your right about having a few haters. But i doubt it would be as capable as it is with being a normal shafty. I dont see the problem with having a scaler that is MOA. But each to their own. . . . . . . .

Nice job duplicating your friends rig. Found this because ive got some moa axles and was looking for some ideas on a scale build for em. Great work.

You know me Ben, Mr anti comp
Never know, I keep threatening to go to one, doing shift work doesn't make it easy to have many free weekends. Might decide to try out my new berg once it's done. . . . . .

Im thinking this needs some lighting to finish it off i fitted the CR01 headlights with the LED holders as there was nothing there (it had some light buckets fitted and glued in previously but were bashed out )

What the plan is, to use an axial LED kit from a Wraith or SCX10, and also a Losi night crawler LED kit for rock lights. The Losi kit is cool, the holders are really easy to mount on the cage and look good as well. And to finish it off, im thinking an LED lightbar would be good above the windscreen. I have both the Gearhead and RC4WD lightbars laying around so ill see which one fits best

Cheers Pricey.

It definitely does! Ive seen it on the ramp quite a few times and the front diff starts to go beyond 90 degrees pretty sure the front diff goes to about 105 degrees on the ramp with the racejackers fully extended!

Few more updates pics of the 1.1 40 in its natural habitat

Since the first pics of the 40 were added, the tube guards on the front were fitted, and now running the 43" sticky TSL's.

Havent updated this in a looooooooong time!

Not that its had much wheeling but a few more mods! It received.......

LED light bar on the roof, and 2 Losi night crawler LED kits (headlights and rocklights)

Zero ackerman VP front knuckles and new steer arms to suit.
Standard VP rear knuckles with Super300's and new steer arms to suit.

Also now running the Monster Mayhem's and fitted some CI dual foams. Makes it look a heap more scale than the VP rims.

All that needs doing is run a second BEC, or use the big CC Bec pro thing I have but its huge, might be better to just use a standard CC BEC per servo as it does have a little mong out glitch every now and again, and possibly swap the gold springs for some slightly harder springs and fit the Jeepndoug cups.
