Its been a while since this was pulled apart for some love, i think it sat on the shelf for 18 month in pieces!

Finally had enough and decided to get it back together but not before some much needed mods.

Fitted a wraith skid plate, so new mounts were needed for the upper links as the wraith uppers just didnt work, too much in the way.

Made new polished alloy links to suit, and stretched the wheelbase to 13.4".

Also some new wheels as well.

Biggest part though was getting the frame powdercoated after the changes. Photos dont do it justice as to how shiny it is. Its metallic silver.
And new body panels are getting made as well, along with fresh shock oil and a diff re grease.

New panels and painted up.
Next is new electrics. Holmes smashed mini BRXL's and a CC Bec for each servo.

Mine won't be nearly as cool as yours, I'll probably just use a lexan body with little to no tube work to save weight. What's your beast weigh by the way?

Weight I'm not too sure of.
I'll weigh it over the weekend but it's not crazy heavy, my guess is inbetween 8-9 lbs RTR.

So after sitting around for a week or so untouched while I've been at work, decided to get some more done on the 40.
Fitting a simple Axial LED setup i had laying around.

Had to make a plate for the rear lights to sit on.

Also made new steer arms front and rear.

And final product.

Yes the rear hoop is bent from a decent tumble a few years ago haha.

In the process of wiring everything up, trying some HH BRXL smashed minis, and fitted a CC Bec pro to help with sending endless power to the 8711's.
