It didn't go well. Looked good to start with. We had to carry two drums of water around the courses. Winner being the best run and also the most water at the end It didn't go well 25mm left at the end in the barrel that was inside. Didn't come last though Good time was had by all. |

Well its been bugging me for a couple of days and I think I have finally put my finger out whats wrong with the front of the 40 Headlamp lenses being to big, also there's a very thin chrome ring round them. After some headscratching Hilux Buckets and lenses grafted in. Added the 4 Little bolts that hold teh grill on to. But while I had the front apart I started the Winch. Now I could never even think of dropping the money on a Quicksand and I saw that DJ Colquitt made a cracking little replica the other week so so........ Thought I'd have a go, A 3racing gave up its Spool and I set at it. Bit of Paint and I also added 3/4 of an Axial Exo Radiator behind not that you can see it Outside getting a better perspective I also finally got the New Tyres on as well. Need to find a Hook from somewhere now and maybee or maybee not a Fairlead if I can get it on. Last edited by Dready; 01-20-2013 at 12:49 AM. |

Man that rig is looking sweet!! I've been plugging away at my little project for it still. We have a few more prototype parts being sent over EMS to try again! |

Man, I love this build. Your attention to detail is fantastic. You've done the 40 series justice here! And now you've gotta throw a 8274 on there. Truly awesome.

He was just over 7'' MARV same series is slightly bigger I did have to cut him in half and Manipulate both parts to get him to fit. If your a Novice Modeller he's not for you. He does bend quite nicley once you boil him in Water. get the shape then submerge in cold. (use some gloves)

Love the new winch Neil! About the tires, why the switch? And how are they performance wise (compared)? By the way, I've a got a picture saved of your gray tundra (had it forever) but never realized it was yours until today. |

No idea there Black and there Round. Slightly taller than the prolines. I switched because I saw mg200's with the shaved sidewalls and thought they looked Good. I'll switch to the new pitbulls once they come out. That tundra was a while ago. About time I did another one.

Marv's a good fit in the Hilux again you'll need to cut and bend to get him to fit.

Drivers Shirt was annoying me it wasn't going to well with the seat colour. Kept it simple can't argue with white. Got the Monster Taco on as well. |

Progress on this too!! I aint no slacker. Doors are on makes it look more complete in my eyes Got the Rear Steer done which was a Pain I had to relocate the Winch/ Rear Lights cut the Universal on one side and lengthen the other one as I'm running the Rc4wd Centered axle. Then I had to put a Toggle Switch in attached to the Shift Servo. So I can either have 2 Speed or flick the Switch I can have single speed and Rear Steer. I cant afford a 4 Channel at the moment so a couple of pounds for a Switch and some wire will have to do for now. Its just got stock Plastic Axial Knuckles and C's for the time being till I break them but it does have Universals so the lock is very good. I will then swap them for Ali ones in time. Ground Anchor there as well that really blends in with the Rear Tubework held in with a Homemade D-ring. A tow Strap completes my recovery gear if needed. Rear lights wouldn't fit anywhere else still at least they aren't going to get knocked off up there! Poser! I have got a Meet on the 30th so I can give it a work out then. |
