Yeah, I noticed the 1/8 in the bracing areas. Probably a smart move, especially when dealing with such small pieces. It doesn't take away from the look at all.

Are you planning on rattle can or pc'ing the frame once finished?
Well... theres some rattle can green on it for now. I am going to drive it tomorrow at our hill climb competition and show it off a bit. Ive been dremeling on it all day I plan on sandblasting it back off when I get back, finish up the motor cage and see about getting it PC'd

Good work man! Glad to see you branched out and went for it. Looks killer! I have turned down doing southern buggies like that before, because I feared I wouldn't do them justice. I redirected them to others who have them perfected. You did a nice job. Be proud of that sucker

Well... Picked up a second place finish this weekend with my Goblin In our hillclimb competition I havent seen the scores yet, but I was told I got close to grabbing a first place finish, which would have topped off the weekend Ive had with this thing.

Heres a video from our comp courtesy of BTF. I forgot about this carnage... The kingpin screws came out of my chubs and my knuckle came off...

Thanks Johnny
Tyler painted it orange, but heres an RTR picture of it. It handles just like the goblin, its just a little lighter.

Lol, ive gotten texts from a few that were at the first one saying "We need to talk" usually that is a bad thing, but yeah... Ive got some work to do. I say I only want to build them for my friends, so ALL of my friends message me...

I decided it was time to step into the interior and finally finish the rest of the welding up. I knew after I built this and put it on facebook and got like 800 likes on a picture with almost every comment as "I want one" that there will soon be more Green Goblins, so I had to try and go into as much detail as I could go to get mine to stand out.

So, I got a radiator from rojo, painted it, and welded 2 washers on a peice of 1/8 and ran it across the back of the interior of the cage, right where the real ones is.

Then made a simple seat mount for the wraith seats, they are just what I am going to use for now. Going to make a set of seats like the real goblin has soon.

Steering wheel mount. Steering wheel removes with a set screw

A look into the interior of the mini goblin. Its not finished, still have to make the guages and a small symetrical panel on both sides of the center bar (which connects to the seat mount)

Now for the motor cage
I had been looking at the rig earlier about what it was that actually sets it off and couldnt decide until I finished this up.

Its fully removable using 4/40 hardware (I didnt want to go any smaller in fear of breakage or something, and figured it being removable was scale enough.

Just need to button up some of the cage work and Im taking it to the sand blaster thursday, and hopefully get some Goblin green powder coat on the cage this weekend, along with some black on the motor cage.

Also tomorrow, I plan to break out the styrene and make a gas tank out behind the radiator to house my reciever and my ESC. Maybe make a scale LSX454 to toss under the hood, but that is REALLY pushing it

(sorry for the magazine article, thanks for taking the time to read everything if you did so)

It's so cool that you are doing this shit on your own Not that I didn't enjoy building for you, I just like seeing everyone at least attempting to do it. I'm pretty sure we will be seeing more of your work on here in the future It's a disease, and you have it. Nice work Colby!
