| Axlsnapr's SDF Ultra4 rig!
Alright , with all the awesome Ultra4 builds getting posted up, I figured I should post mine too. I contacted SDF Racing and asked Sean for a traditional double solid axle Ultra4 chassis similar to Miller's or Mooneyham's style 1:1 Ultra4 rigs. And he delivered a bullet proof Ultra4 chassis! I'm not as patient as or scale perfection oriented as some of my buddies build'n these rigs. I gotta drive it now!.... Here are a few specs for my rig, i hope you enjoy! Wheelbase= 13.5" Width= 11"+ Chassis= SDF Racing Ultra4, Trans= Axial AX10, Axles= AX10, Shocks= LCC w/internal springs Motor=18.5 Novak 2s Goat, Servo= Hitec HSR5980SG, Winch=Towerpro 995, Tires= 2.2" Pro-line Super Swampers G8, Rims= 2.2 RC4WD OG Beadlock comp rims Battery= Turnigy Nano-tech 5300mah 2s hardcase lipo Misc:= interior is a heavily trimmed Pro-line SCT insert, custom roof and side panels, the front clip is from a Tamiya FJ40 body, Proline lights (2) front (1) rear. And a bunch other lil stuff. Here are a few pics, mostly after I've beat on it a lil'.... Last edited by axelsnapr; 01-25-2013 at 06:43 PM. Reason: add info |

Very cool rig, like the colors and design. A few more pics would be cool, from the front, top, side and rear. If it's not too much hassle. |

Thanks for the props guys. I don't post rigs up too much, so forgive me if I leave something important out. Here are a few more pics with the sides off and different angles. |

Wow what a nice looking rig. Simple, but yet perfect for bashing. Like how you used the FJ40 hood. |

The pics doesnt do this rig justice, it is waaay more impressive and awesome in person! Jerry, awesome man you've really built this rig well, as usual, I cannot wait to run with this rig, side by side, fighting for that rock pile! Sean at SDF really does amazing with the KOH chassis! The crazy part is every chassis he does keeps getting better and better! See you at Hammertown in a few weeks bro! |

I agree John, I can't wait to run this thing in a race either! Although with my motor/trans combo I don't think I have a chance. Unless the "Ol' Tortoise and the Hare" theory actually works! (Bananaclip) Heres a couple shots showing some of the belly and the whole bare chassis. This is before skidpan was mounted. There is a skidpan across the whole botttom that wraps up both sides to help with sliding over stuff (and sounds really bitchen slapping on the rocks!). Hope they help if not ask away I will try and dig another up. The pics I took during the build up are way to large and kinda get crappy downsizing them. |

| Re: Axlsnapr's SDF Ultra4 rig! Hey Chris, ya theres actually 5 of these chassis done and are being built now for the KOH/G6 event feb 9th, were hopping to have them all together, comp'ing in one place! We will post up pics after KOH/G6! Our goal is to start up a full on Scale KOH series here in SoCal soon! Axlsnper has held 2 AWESOME HOH style events in the past and trust me, with Axlsnprs KOTC (King of the Compond) you need a bullet proof rig like these!
