I guess Im a cool guy now like you and Josh now huh. Building this has me thinking I really need to put some 66 ford sheetmetal back on the buggy. Might as well look good that ONE time a year I take it out.

Good to hear you got it all ready to rock, I knew you would.

Thank you Tim, and good luck to you as well in the voting. You are a shoe in I am sure. I think I will drive it for the class 3, just to see if it can hang on the rocks ya know. I think I saw a sneak peak of something new from you in the 1.9 growler thread, cant wait to see it!

Too late, its got some scratches already, lol. At least the lexan body still looks good though. Might have me a metal body soon though

Thanks! I didn't have much time and kept dragging my feet on it. When Tim bumped out the ttc entry date I had to go for it. Glad I did. Exactly 2 weeks from start to finish.

4 door Sam! Or keep it 2 door but add 3 racing seats behind the cab. I would love to see that rig with sheet metal back on it, and out on the trail with us. I have to get Tashas 4 door up running so we can have all the kids with us. I will help any way I can. The buggy now is cool, but its just not as cool as the 60's sheet metal. Big Red needs a comeback!

I just have to say, when your rig had the ford body and Dons was still silver and blue, those two trucks were by far the coolest wheelers out there. Im sure many on here will agree. They had the most character, worked very well, and just had that wow factor. IMO when you say TTC, the trucks that first come to mind are those two. ICONIC TTC!

I appreciate the kind words Corey! Its funny how Don and I got so close to winning and it was silly mechanical things that held us back in the end. That's what lot of guys don't realize when it comes to an event like this. Its not about going balls out and driving all crazy. Its about being smooth and consistent which has a lot to do with how well you deal with the pressure of it all. That and a little luck on your side that the rig holds up.

I have actually looked at putting a bench seat in the back a few times. The big issue is the humongous custom radiator that is wider than the chassis rails. It wont fit up front without putting the winch out on a bumper outside the grill. Id be better off just building something new from scratch around a 4 door, just need to find one, hard to come by anymore. All the girls love the thing and it would be a blast to have everybody out in the woods putting around ya know.

Went on a trail run after work today with some fellow scaler buddies. Had a blast and the truck worked awesome. Here are some pics.

Thanks Jon, just trying to do it justice. Have a metal body in the works from metal master, I mean masher. Should be enough to send it over the top, I cant wait!!
