I noticed the aluminum WK axle C's, does anyone make lockouts for the rear? I have not had any luck finding any.

| Thanks, Dash is from this. I'll be using the dash, seats, and headlight housings from that car in this build. Keeping with Betty's Hawaiian roots, she'll be sporting this decal on the hood. Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 05-14-2008 at 12:36 PM. |

I got lucky with the dash, it fit perfect as far as width. Might make it "fit" a little better with some styrene. Needs to blend into the body and tube work a bit better. Here's a better angle. |

I think I might have seen those RC4WD lockouts now, I think I remember thinking they wouldn't look right all big and square. They look good with the link mount there. Thanks for the info, yo too jeepcj. I love the sticker, keeping with the Hawaiian roots is a cool idea. |

Unimog and Bronco Jeep Hurricane, Land Rover, and sweet chase/support truck. Normally you couldn't get away with using Matchbox/Hot Wheels to represents RCs in a RC, but Betty is BIG.

Any more updates on Betty? What mods have you done to the chassis itself other than an electronics tray?

As of now the electronics tray is in, I cut out the stock (thin) link/shock mounts (left stock rear mounts for now) and replaced them with some 1/8in units. Some of the body panel nuts were stripped so I brazed them and drilled/tapped them so I didn't need to use nuts to hold the panel in place. I've also installed LED holders at a few places in the frame. I still have a few mounting tabs to add for a couple of pieces of electronics. This thing will be chock full of lights, sound, etc. The MFC-02 will be installed as well as another circuit board. I'd like to clean all the visible joints on the tubework then have it powdercoated. To meet the deadline for Montana I was just going to prime/paint it. Now that I'm not going to Montana I still plan to prime/paint it so I can get it running and just enjoy driving it. |
