Interesting. I havent had anyone have problems with them so far. I used lighter guage to save weight. How off are the mounts? I have always been able to account for any slight difference by adjusting the link arms, or are yours non adjustable? Still curious what youre 'cleaning up along the way', so I can make sure to address any issues in future projects. I aint too proud to admit there is always something I can do better. |

Thin gauge link mounts to save weight on a frame that's made from steel rod? Link mounts need beefing up (a good tumble and they'll bend - causing the axles to be out of whack) and the mounting points for links should be duplicates of each other from one side to the other. The link mounts being different from one side to the other (on both horizontal and vertical placement) causes geometry issues and makes it a general PITA to build links if all four links have to be four different lengths to get the axle square with the chassis. The steering setup will change. There's very little steering right now. The servo seems to pull the entire axle more than it steers the knuckles.

Video? I'm out of town right now. I did bring the video camera. Might have to shoot some video of it this Saturday...especially now that it has a multi function unit stuffed inside. |

Well, you gotta try and save it somewhere- figured it was worth a shot. Thanks for the laughter though- very classy. I will certainly beef them up in these final few projects I am doing. Also, if you cut them off, you will find they are in fact duplicates from one side to another. I make one and then copy the holes based off the first one to insure they are the same. However, I do realize there is the possibility of them ending up a little off in mounting, but I would be surprised if they were off by a large margin. Sounds like this has been in a tumble or two and needed some convincing to go back into place. As for the steering setup, that was a request of the customer. I havent done it before, and if you are finding it doesnt work, I wont do it again. Thanks for the feedback, good luck with your buildup. j |

Actually the steering set up was done by myself and Pureadrenaline..It worked OK for me but I only got to run it twice before It got adopted..Your chassis' are SOLID Josh thats no dought!!...But as I mention before, the link mounts are the ONLY weak point on the chassis' if any..Well for Betty anyways..Shes a BIG GURL and carried her weight well...A regular sized chassis would be fine.. Cant wait to see some vid of her with that MFU in it JIA
