Default Climbing South Mountain tomorrow Sunday, anyone want to join?

Hello Folks,

I'll climb tomorrow the Mormon trail from the 24 St. parking lot entrance up to National (a mother of a trail), turn right and go into Hidden Valley (not sure if my 1/8 will fit through fat man's pass) and if I still have time and juice on my 2 5000mah packs will drive the whole 4.2 mile loop back to the parking lot.

I expect to be there at 9:30-9:45am, my wife will drop me off and go shopping... and then pick me up around 1:00 or so, I've hiked the trail before in like 2.5 hrs. no idea how long it will take with the crawler.

I'll check my message inbox until tomorrow 8:30am if anyone wants to join so we can exchange phone numbers and crawl tomorrow.

I've wanted to do that for quite some time, wish I could make the trek with you. We have made it up to hidden valley once crawling from the bottom and that was like 3 hours. But I've never carried up to there to start. It's been a few years since I've made the hike but it seems like there should be some good rock up by the pass.

OK Big Daddy, too bad you can't make it. You mean you've done Mormon trail from the Pima entrance side where it joins National? I've done that countless times when Mountain biking, but the 24 street trailhead is a lot more difficult that is why I want to try crawling that. Only once have I seen 1 guy attempt to climb on a mountain bike from there.

No, we always go from the 24th street trailhead. We did Mormon trail up to where hidden valley starts, well out there in the flats anyway. That took us more than 3 hours I get up there because there are so many good crawling spots along the way.
I've hiked from 48th st to hidden valley but never with a scaler. That would be a lot of carry time or a lot of battery out there on flat trail.

Well, I made it Big Daddy, started at 9:45, did the whole loop through Hidden Valley and was back at the parking lot on 24 st. at 12:10. Nice day, not too hot, Here's the pics of the trek:
