Default Front end can't stay down!!!!

I was crawling last night and I noticed every time I came up to someting taht was vertical, or anywhere NEAR vertical my rear tires would catch and pitch me over backwards!!!! How do I get the front end to stay doen? Here is what I have going on with this truck:
blackjack chassis
3cell lipo on the front axle
Big bores with internal springs set up for droop
4 link front and rear
4 oz per tire front and rear.

How do I get the front end to stay down? This is driving me crazy!!!!!

Thanks
Dima

What foams are you running? How are they cut?

Try 5-6.5oz in each front and 0-3oz in the rear for starters.

Make sure your shocks aren't unloading too quickly. What weight oil are you using?

Mount your upper rear links higher on the chassis and or change theie position on the plate on the axle

Add more foam to the rear tires if they are grabbing too much

and most important, Get rid of that big ass purple Bushwhacker body (sorry but you asked)

I run close to 12.5oz in the front tires. And also stiffen the rear springs up a tad. Watch your rear shocks as you start to climb. You maybe too soft or have bad torque twist, which will cause unloading

Use stock foams or something similar in the rear, not memory foams.
Each front wheel/tire should weigh at least 12oz.
As stated above, watch your suspension to see what can be tweaked. I'm not very familiar with droop so I can't offer any good advice there.

Driving technique is important too. You gotta get the front end to bite onto something before the rears get a chance to flip it over.

More weight in front. Each of my front wheels is 16 oz. and each rear is 12... Also, try turning your rear pinion upward (just above straight at the transmission) by lengthening your upper links.

More weight in the front as low as possible...wheel weights...also try limiting your downward rear shock travel a bit...a little goes a long way!! But...you're never gonna climb vertical...well...not yet at least!

That would be a VERY good upgrade that would help this issue and more.

Since you are running droop....add a little squat to the rear suspension. This helps keep the rear end planted and the shocks compressed on climbs. You don't need a 4 link to add squat. A 3 link can be adjusted just like a 4 link.

On a sprung set up,a touch of anti squat in the rear is better

Always run a touch of squat up front, sprung or droop. That'll help put a little more weight pushing down on the front when the throttle is applied, helping traction or forward bite.

There's no way freewheel in the rear would get him up the rock faces he's talking about. Not enough traction. What he's talking about is stuff like the first part of this video. Dig lock helps plant it sometimes but we are consistently doing it without any dig at all.

First step is to remove any weight you have in the rear tires. then do some research on anti squat. Then go buy an r2d. tnen $hit can the droop setup.

We have an entire forum on Blackjack Setups at http://www.sincityrcrc.com. Its the homepage for the Blackjack Chassis. I had the same issue with mine and its all gravy now (its so sweet running the BJ on droop that i run 2 of them now, one shaft and one MoA), but it depends on your setup and how steep you are really trying to go. Check it out

i personally would lean to adjustments like raptorman mentioned. play a bit with your squat/anti-squat and see what that does for ya.

maybe add another 2 oz to the front as a small adjustment but if your rear wants to pull the front its gonna effect the rig no matter how much weight is up there. tune the suspension till you get it where you or want it or atleast close then try foams/weight.

just my 2cents

That FJ40 body is the POOP!!!! Everyone is running the bug bodies. Be different guys.

I am goign to add a BUNCH of weight up front this weekend and remove the weight in the rear. I will add some external springst o the rear as well and see if that does anything for me.

No dig for now

Gonna plan on playing with this setup before I throw a TON more cash into it.

THanks
Dima

I'd keep the weight in the rear wheels personally. I add 4oz of weight to my plastic Axial wheels in the rear. This helps with sidehills, downhills, and when articulating it helps hold the rear down to get all the flex out of it, without having to run really soft rear springs.
