X2 on the pics.

How’s the COG on it? With the belly clearance at 3 5/8” or so it should put the motor/trans that much higher?

Well I went to Lowes and Home Depot and checked in the screen area. No luck, all they have is 1/4x1/2 aluminum to make screens. I went up and down the isles and in and around the screen area. Im from Califoria and maybe we use differant screen materal. Are your screen frame made from plastic there? They do sell drought resistant grass here! I bet you dont have that in Nashville.HAHA Matt

All they check is wheel base! When I raced my RC 10 I called into the pits for inspections alot. One time I was running midengine(motor) they said it was not legal. It was legal-I didn't win. Thanks for the video on you tube!

Any reason you didn't mount it so that the smooth part was down, vs the channel/metal side down?

x2 on the smooth side???

dude, this is perfect. I robbed a shock off my ax10 for the 2nd hand wheely king i just got. now i dont need to go buy another set of junky shocks.

I wanted to build a pimpcane clod, but since i already have an ax10 on the shelf, this will be much easier to get approved!

I would also like to see more pictures! I am not seeing how the AL plate is attached to the axles and servo....

had a couple other thoughts....

first how does it do with torque twisting compared to stock

secondly, how does the ABS hold up to heat? it is wintery now, but how soft will this get in the summer? it gets into the 90s and 100s here, maybe have to add some more brakeline when its toasty?

toasty, hey! A scale toaster rig might be cool! maybe not as a crawler, but whens the last time you saw a toaster drifting? it would need to be chrome i think. off topic, i know, I sorry.

I must be hungery cuz i also remember seeing the weener mobile growing up, and now i think that would be a fun scale rc to build too!

someone get this guy some dinner!

arrrgh, i went to lowes here and looked around for an hour, no one in hardware, near the screens had any idea what that part was. showed the pictures of this thread. i want to build one so much its silly.

any chance you have any scrap of packaging left or a recipt i could get the part or item number from? or anyone else? I even called home depot locally and they didnt know about what i was describing in their hardware department.

I did get the brakeline from shucks, that was easy, 20" of steel brake line right?
