Started putting my axles together and realized I forgot to order CVD's

Also got my Hardware order and realized I forgot to order a few things there, I"m on a roll.

Another Order to McMaster and TCS. Should have progress this weekend

Sounds to me like you should hit Mr.Glassman up for an honorary Team Pro membership

LOL

Nah, just one of many things I'm sure I overlooked.

Got the trans mounted tonight, it clears but barely.

*important note* the spur will rub if you don't take out the slop in the top shaft, I had to make some shims that fit into the pin slot in the top gear to stop outward movement. If you don't do this the spur will contact the chassis.

I'll tear it all back down after mockup and take a few pics to show what I mean.

I may still clearance the chassis a bit, but not sure its needed. Debating cutting a delrin spacer for under the trans, just a mm or two, enough to space it out a bit, but not so much that COG would be affected.

Here is how tight it is.

The more I think about it, I need to check clearance with the front mip center shaft before I get to far ahead.

On my scx-10 I ended up having to re drill a 86t spur to work, if I have the same issue that could be a cheap and easy fix.

Or I may say eff it and pick up a new top shaft just in case. Not so convinced I need to go through the trouble just to keep the spur.

Looks like your trying to stuff 10lbs of Sh$t into a 5lb bag this is a sweet build though

I didn't like using a slipper, in some situations when your in a pinch point stuffed in a hole, a slipper does more hurt then help just my 0.2.

Yeah, I am leaning toward not using it.

If my LHS has a top gear shaft In stock ill probably swap it.

I am glad I figured out it works though. If this goes well I have another build planned that I will need the slipper.

Well my cvd's, vanquish knuckles and my hardware showed up, so I should have something to show tomorrow.

Sad news is I have a feeling the post office lost my esc and motor... shot a email off to JRH to see if we can figure it out. I'm sure it will work out.

Looking good. I can't beleave the spur is so close. But I do like that everything fits close. Very nice looking chassis.

That sucks about the Post Office. I have had a couple things show up late to people that I paid Priority for. Not sure why I spent the extra money .

Indeed it is.

I've been happy with my Eritex, but this thing is just screaming at me!

Looking forward to your progress on this build.

Got most of the major parts together now, off to the LHS to find a few things, and USPS shows my ESC and motor in Cleveland this morning, nothing like 8 day priority

I normally have no problems with USPS, I think the problem was with the MO office..

I just shipped out my wheels to get a little special something. More on that when they return
