Kurtus420 and Mr. Crawler are on the same page as I am. These would be very helpful for the Ax10 crowd. I have chatted with some of the smaller vendors with regards to such a animal. I have been told they were working on them. I have yet to see any for those of us who run the AX10. If someone would build "they will come".

maybe I can mention it to Sven and see if he would do it?? I think part of the issue might be that the vendors don't want to step on each others toes but idk for sure.

I've got some AX-10 axles, I'll see what I can come up with. So, you want something more like these, but for the rear in the 0.375" diameter variety? Super Berg Knuckle weights Last edited by SVEN; 07-15-2011 at 03:42 PM. |

Also on the rear ones. Could you make them universal for the STRC lockouts.

SO! i got the fastback chassis, its pretty titties too. got it all put together, started modding the froglegs to work with it as the fastback requires shorter lower links and uppers in the front. i had to shave off about 1/4-1/2" off the front frog legs, got it most of the way put tegether once i got to a stopping point due to needing a drill for the tranny mount holes in the skid,i went into the house and not 5 mins later the DHL guy shows up with the topper from casey!!! it got here today from china on monday!!! really really fast compared to last time, but now that i shortened the frog legs iheres sorta no goin back til i get new frog legs now. I'm pretty bummed the poison dart topper didnt come first. |

Looks good, does that setup change the geometry quite a bit over the frogger, seems like they are similar to a certain extent. As for the links, you could try using jato ends since they gotta add at least 1/4 inch per link. Are you gonna dye those links black now?

the geometry if fairly different, lower link mounts on the skid are further apart F to R. the uppers are a bit different and Shocks mount in the front of the fastback is way different. Im gonna have trouble wedging the FSJ tranny in there(kinds wishin i still had a AX10 tranny for a quick install). Im just gonna stick with the poison dart, its already tuned in and ready to rock,I will just save the fastback for a back up chassis. so heres a couple pics of the poison dart almost ready to rock, snapped a cvd pin on the first test run(just might prevent me from competing) Got my new spiffy BLUE!!! clamping servo horn for Hitec,i can usually only find hitec ones in either red, black or purple, was only like $10 TOO!!! |

Good Luck this weekend Jason ! Is that the old "PD" upper that broke ? I am very HAPPY to see "The first FSJ Poison Dart" back in one peice. I have a feeling someone will be getting "Poisoned" at the comp. "BE CAUTIOUS OF THE FROGS THEY ARE POISONOUS" |

Well, the poison dart failed. could not keep the cvd pin from breaking. my first 3 or 4 gates were flawless and great time but shortly after SNAP!!! goes the cvd pin, tried a allen and a strong drill shank and both snapped easily. after all my time with the PD and seeing all the moa rigs win,Im gonna off the PD as a roller to start building my MOA. sucks but im just not diggin all the extra shat and weight that sticks with a shaftie, especially when up against a moa. I do wanna stay with frogger chassis tho, cant wait to get my moa stuffs and maybe score one of caseys tadpole moa chassis? any who sad day. |

and It just bends the gunnar pins to where it binds the cvd really really bad unless the wheels are strait and i gotta dissect the cvd and grind the pin to get it apart. | |

I hear that cause it's gonna cost a fair bit to get any moa to a comp worthy level.....

Thought of using ground drive cups... I have only run those, and you do have to be careful when grinding them BUT they work and are way cheaper than the $150+ CVD's from SDS |

When you build your MOA, you might want to consider Felsenfest or Super 300's, almost any CVD pin smaller than 2mm (and they can bend/break too) will fail at some point, wether they are mine or not. It's a big expense, but in a competition, axle failure is not acceptable. Modified drive cups will work, but binding can happen with them at CVD turning angles- 43 dgrees + Last edited by gunnar; 07-17-2011 at 04:32 PM. |
