Well I built some new AX10 axles using the creationfab-delrin-ax10-tubes-new and I must say these are sweet, This mod puts the steering at max as well as gives some much needed (new) locations for the servo/battery set up (more to follow on this). I went with the new over drive gears, aluminum hardware, and some avid bearings. This is a simple mod but I varied from the instructions just a little with the top bolts on the axle, the rest is just following the directions posted on his thread and woopigsooie's parts list XR10 Mod for AX10 Axles Parts List ,real good info there!!
Just a quick pick of the axle during breakin. more to follow

sexy sexy sexy is all I can say about this axle, with a little elbow grease on the top link plate I think its gonna work out real good. Yes that's the servo mounted and the battery on the opposite side, should help with torque twist and the COG. Yes I am gonna get rid of the ugly blue servo horn and finish sanding the top plate, sorry for the fuzzy pics.

Like the idea if mounting servo UNDER the plate.... Do you need to length the post or not? Judging from the photo, purple is your favourate color......ha ha

Oh my, 2.9lbs with battery, and a body! Going to loose a little trimming up the wiring. Guess I am gonna have to get me some of them lightweight wheels to keep the weight down

I thought you were going to mirror the trans? Didn't it work with this chassis? I haven't received my chassis yet, but started to mirror the trans in anticipation of running it mirrored,,,unless it doesn't work that is! Can you post up some closer pics of you motor area?

Thanks

Mike

Or...you could just not go to Rome.

The rig is looking good. I'm digging the servo and battery placement.
