The new product looks real good. My beef tubes are already starting to rust and I havent even got to run them yet. Aluminum would be a great option though.

I've been trying to decide what base to use for my new sporty build I'll be starting in a few weeks. I've given serious thought to doing a LCC or even a Creeper, but this may have just convinced me to go ahead and use my Axial axles.

i am runnin some proto's of this design and have had zero issues. i had a set of his originals and kept spinning them even with 5 screws per side, amazing what 3s and a 13t crawlmaster will do

Updates Finally....


I havent had time to post these on my site, or make a thread in the vendors section for these yet. For now, PM me for more info/prices. They will be more than the regular wide splined because of the extra time involved. But they will come with 4 3x6 button head stainless screws to hold em in


These ones are pretty simple really. I had a tool cut to put an inside groove on the tube. This allows you to keep some of the ears, run 2 screws into the stock hole location, and rock-n-roll. No more need to set your caster. This will be set already. You will only need to drill the holes on the top and bottom to keep the chubs on. Those holes will not be drilled, so that you can set your caster where you want.




You do need to cut a little off the end. Basically flush with the edge of the raised hole for the stock chub to screw into. From there, you sand down the ears and such to nearly flush. But leave some to take up the slack. I would recommend shaving some off a little at a time to make sure they fit nice and snug. You will also need to shave the inside bearing stop out completely for the tube to slide all the way through.

I marked in silver where you need to trim/shave




And now you're done. You can still put extra screws into the rest of the housing for safe measure, but I really dont think that will be needed.

Chris...that's a lot cleaner/easier to use setup. I wouldn't mind another set to replace the ones I have since I didn't get the caster set exactly the same on either side

I have been wanting to widen my stance some but have not wanted to put to much money in my sporty as my berg is really my true comp rig. That being said I had intended on playing with this some and finally got around to it. Well I can happily report that I am going to be able to keep my dlux weights, keep my chubs, and knuckles and be able to widen my front end.... I think. I wound up with a set of the axial exo cvd's and while the full cvd kit will not fit, the most important part will. The drive shaft looks like it will fit in the old cvd cup for the axial ax10 cvd's. I did order the wide tubes tonight and will get picks upon my build soon.
