You should make some sort of cantilever suspension for the shocks so you can lay them down...xterra-esque. It's gotta be a bear to rollover with the tall shock towers like they are.

Awesome idea though Mr. Rick!

Thanks Jimmy, been thinking about that, or just a much short shock setup to get them under a body, it can, or will be done, later, the truck is performing great, so i will start to do some lightweight and setup mods to make ir even better.

Very Cool! That is going to be a whole new way of thinking about suspension tuning. Camber gain, roll center, anti-squat, rear toe - mind blown!

This also made me think twice about tearing into my dusty Slash 4x4.

Truck is down to 4.375 lbs. I think for certain i can get ot under 4, just to say i did,

I am working on a new front shock setup that may add a little weight, but it will all be up front anyway. The rear shock tower will just have the top trimmed off thats not needed for now.

Did a little more driving today, and went back the the original springs for now. I am pretty confident this will make a good performing truck with a few more tweeks. Started working on the pesky front shock tower issue.

Love this idea! When I saw the first photos it reminded me of Shannon Campbell's King of the Hammers rig, always out front! Test, trim and tweak and it won't be long before a bunch of guys follow your lead.

It Worked well today Rick. With a little more steering it would have been hard to beat.

first comp down, did pretty well for an untested design.

now onto the upgrades.
Steering, need a ton more of steering.here is what i git so far, flipped lower arm, removed OFNA knuckle, pillow balls, cvd, added XR knuckle and XR universal,

Much better steering, way more ground clearance. to complete this install, i need to remove .400 from ends of upper and lower arms, make a dogbone end for the XR universals, the uni will be stock lenght with a dogbone end then.
