| To much flex?
I've been doing some home made mods to my ax10 to get rid of slop and movement in some areas and change of weight. But I'm now getting the lower lions and wheels hitting the shocks. Was thinking of putting some machined stops in the shocks over the shaft to reduce the amount of flex which will also stop the lower links hitting them. Will this cause over issues? Yes, too much flex.

Damn that's an OG rig right there Nitro fuel tubing works well to limit shocks inside or out and acts as a bumpstop. Cheap performance mods would be to put an scx10 skid on there. It has a better profile to slide over obstacles and it provides triangulation to the lower links. Lose the Y upper links too in favor of independent uppers. I have some scx/ax10 link plates I'd mail you if you want them. Carbon fiber front and G10 fiberglass rear, yours for the taking. |

Would do what white thrash suggests. Maybe his plates allow for the battery to be mounted on the axle. My guess is that the springs is a bit stiff also. At least if they have the spring go that they came with new. For the scorpion I like the stock shocks (same as Wraith) just move the bumpstop inside to make them a little bit shorter, and replace springs with the softer hpi 6590 springs. To avoid rubbing on the front springs, it is smart to widen it a bit with a wheel widener rc4wd has a good one that widens it 12mm. Last edited by AngelowDoom; 04-13-2017 at 01:20 AM. |

The springs are rather soft the start compresing with very little weight on them Sent from my A1601 using Tapatalk |

Then they probably have been changed to the softer ones. Is there a green mark on the springs?

Problem with moving the battery is it's for my 4 year old son and he runs it with nimh so they are to big and mount up top. It seem I have been able to almost completely reduce the touqe twist going forward but when I go back it's a little crazy with how high the rear right wheel lifts off the ground Sent from my A1601 using Tapatalk |

I'm faceing the same issue with little Betty. The parameters to control the flex are stiffness of the springs and shock travel right? The og shocks are not adjustable and 128mm (eye to eye), which length would be better, using the og chassis, without loosing too much ground clearence? Gesendet von meinem Nexus 5 mit Tapatalk |

I thinking I will put a limiter on the shock shaft out side to limit the travel in the shocks. I figured if I put it over the shaft on the inside of the shock body it will reduce my ground clearance to much. Sent from my A1601 using Tapatalk |

check your springs. like i said that sticky says a lot. twist was one of the biggest issues when this came out and tyere are ways to get rid of it. good luck. |

Link geometry plays a big part in getting rid of almost all the torque twist. A proper setup rig will not have to run stiff springs and limit shocks when your links are correct. Try to get more triangulation on your lowers, moving the links on the skid towards the center.
