AX10 Integy 80s motor Traxxas XL-5 ESC JR XR3i radio Futaba S3305 servos 10t pinion bodies Betty and stock Turbo Optima dove tailed Jeep Cj, VW stock tire & wheels Fab work strip/drill chassis and links strip flip drill & slot top plate made new bottom plate "Nerf Pods" (just to be different, goin inside w/ links works) set up for full time rear steer normal/crab (way too much fun) shorten/lengthen servo wires (not too much fun) drive shaft brass tubes and top collars drill tap and bend 1/4' alum tube for bent lower links used stock bottom plate for RX custom servo mounts custom split battery mounts mod battery for saddle mounting drill shock pistons add 3/32" hole 30wt oil (going to 1000 w/ soft springs) mod radio handle 'c' button for direct menu acces/rear servo switching on the fly motor flip to do longer servo mounts for upper link mounting fix it as it breaks        Last edited by AnEv942; 11-27-2017 at 12:11 PM. been working on this since november novak rooster crawler esc integy 55t tq2 (tq3 on it's way) some sort of hobbico servo (works great though) homade delrin links, skid plate, 4-link lexan upper link mounts grappler body losi soper soft springs coper plumbing bushings on drive shafts radio tray made from old battery mounting relocated body posts 50wt oil in left rear shock 6 cell saddle pack works great, almost no tourque twist, very low cg, blackjack, hc links,dig and maybe brushless on the way           |

My AX-10 specs. -Novak Rooster -Hitec metal gear high torque -JR XR3i -integy 55t -modded skid plate and link mounts -Pro line Moabs -Semi droop, probably go back to outer spring mounts (an awesome setup is only as good as it's driver.....(and I suck .......for now) -TCS boomerangs front and rear -homemade saddle packs -HPI Rubicon and Pro-line Harddrive bodies |

My first real crawler....planned on a tuber, but never followed through. Has the usual stuff Stage 2 Kit Rooster crawler 55 package deanodized most of the green cut the foams blah...blah....blah...all the usual stuff. Tons of torque twist so I put in a rear aluminum plate and will be moving the mounts around to try to sort it out. 130W oil in the left rear shock HPI whites in front, yellows in back ....and an old traxxas radio setup I had not great pics yet, but it's 95% finished. Body still needs to get positioned and drilled. Hoping to make it to some gtg's soon for some crawling and feedback from others. Great site...always a blast to see what everyone else has got going on.  |
