Wow , am about to start my own scale 2.2 rock racer but if there is going to be an update very soon might have to wait as this will save me time and trial and error.

Just had a thought .
Are you able to throw some 1.9s on it for comparison as the 2.2s do look a little large compared to the chassis . Although i do understand that this isn't meant to be a totaly scale looking rig and compromise has to be made to make it crawl great.

I had some 1.9's on it for a while. I don't have the chassis in my possesion so I can't show a pic. The jigs are being built now and we should have the first samples within the next week or so. This chassis will be perfect as a racer or a crawler though.

We had intended to offer the chassis with both 3 and 4 link options. The problem was, we could not optimize either suspension design with the other present on the chassis. With the 3 link design the rig had an axle steer issue that we did not like. I added 4 link to my prototype with the 3-link mounts still in place and that totally solved the axle steer that is inherent in 3-link suspensions. In order to allow adjustability of the 4-link (anti-squat etc...) We had to remove the 3-link monting points. This also meant losing the rear axle truss which did not work correctly with straight axle adapters since it was designed before they were on the market. This also reduced manufacturing cost.

This chassis was extensively tested for quite some time and we worked closely with Team Carnage Crew on the entire thing before it was finalized. We are 100% satisfied with the 4-link rear and we are confident this chassis will perform as well as or better than it looks. We can't wait to bring this chassis to the public.

was the rear steer you found:

to be the axel moving side to side from the cross link

or

the axle twisting causing one wheel to move forward with the opposite wheel moving backwards?
