I belive that the skid was made like that so that when crawling along a ledge or something like that, the milled out section would stop you from sliding sideways. But I could be wrong. Rubbaneck, the rig is looking great I can't wait to see it painted and complete. Shane

Shane your right on the skid being raised up for that purpose. It has about 3/16" deep by 1" wide clearance. AND FOR THE BODY ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Woke up and saw this on rctech. Must be done. I'll have pics of it mounted tonight. Thanks FB/FX

Here's the Grappler/LOSI body that Fat Bastard FX painted. Did something different on the rear roll bar area. Left the side' and back area's clear to expose the BENDER SW3 to it's fullest. Last edited by Rubbaneck; 01-14-2008 at 11:33 PM. |

The practice body Bender liked so much was a factor in appearance, not performance. I'll ups red that POS back real fast....

It's been running pretty well. Just got back from the Midwest comp a few weeks ago and placed 10th. We had only two comps here in Colorado since our Winter series started. We should be coming up on the fith comp but the snow and rain is to blame for this. Other then that the weather every weekend has been pretty good for some practice. The dig unit is holding up pretty well considering I put a JR 8711 in for the servo. It's really over kill but I blew up my other servo on the carpet. So the next best thing to a 8711 dig is the VF dig for the axial tranny. It's cheaper then the servo alone..... I'm sold. Just got some MSD Top Guns and had my roomate anodize the rings black. So I got a new body for it too. The paint work is from Chenzo here in Denver. Thanks bud Enjoy some more pics....

This thing looks evil Jay. Looks like it ready to kick ass at the next comp. I love the look of the hack from the top, looks sexy. |
