Default Bomber Batteries

Wondering what everyone is using for batteries?

I'm using a ZIPPY Compact 4000mAh 3s 60c and its REALLY tight in both length and height due to the wires touching the top or bottom of the battery box.

It paces well with the sc4x 5.5t sensored through a MMP that I am running in mine.

I use Turnigy 2200 mah 3s lipos. They give me plenty of run time. The only problem is they want to stick through the battery compartment. I cut a piece of plastic to put in front of the battery to keep that from happening.

2600 3s Hyperion 45c. Best batteries I have ever owned.
Fit perfect with plenty of runtime.

I would like to get a little more wheel speed . I've gone to a titan 550 21t and a 17 tooth pinion. I'm wondering if a nominal 3s lipo would help. I'm currently running a venom 5000 30c.
Will the 3s burn up brushed motors if I am trail riding mostly?

I got the Duratrax Onyx 3S 5000 mah 25c which is an awful tight squeeze and takes a bit of work to close the lid to put the body clips in. I get a good 30 minutes running stock ESC and motor though. I also have vant battery 6500 mah 75c 2S that I'll use once I get my HH puller pro 3500kv and MMP esc installed. The vant will fit fine. I've raced with vant batteries since this summer and they've been great. I'm going to have to pick up an internal resistance meter one of these days to really measure the quality of these batts.

Might try the electronics section or your own thread instead of changing the topic in this one.

Do you have any measurements of the hard case batteries that fit? How about accurate measurements of the battery compartment?

Battery says 138x42x33mm. I measure it at 5"x1 5/8"x1 1/8". Could fit maybe another 1/8" long, it's maxed out height and depth.

Maybe 5 1/4" long, but then you're running out of room for the wires. No taller or wider.

picked up the tower bomber kit and got this battery which they suggest
TowerHobbies.com | Duratrax Onyx LiPo 3S 11.1V 5000mAh 25C Soft Case Star

the battery door and hood is tough to close it just seems really really tight to get the pins back in
not a fan how hard is it to get the hood and door closed and pins back in ?
the other dimensions are OK and a snug fit though

Picked up a couple of these tonight: Turnigy 3600mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack (AR Warehouse)

I de-cased one of my 3s 5000mah hard packs just to see if I needed 3s on this truck. Answer , YES! The 5000 would fit but I had to wedge it in there and it's really way to big for the compartment. I'll report once they come in.

Does it fit well? Or is it a tight fit? How much run time are you getting?

I'm betting that'll be a good fit. Think I'll get one too.

Running SMC 3200 4s 60c. Little tight width wise but they just fit.
