Get the RPM Rod ends with axial brass balls.
They are sold but many retailers, I got the at Amain Hobbies.
You will also need SSD M4 spacers to keep the same lenght.

Since the set screw for the links is 4mm they will but won't work for the trailing arms of course.

Just make sure they are the same or shorter length.
I had to add spacers to my RPM Rod ends to keep the same length for the links.

If they are too long you will have to cut them.

it matters what you are using it for, if your bashing it youre wasting your time getting more plastic ends.

I drive mine like I stole it and metal ends were a MUST, broke tons of them plastic shits

Why would you want brass balls? Well these kinds of hollow balls?

I prefer Hot Racing balls. Way cheaper than anything Axial sells and they work fine.

The vanquish brass balls are made to fit the axial kit so there is no slop and they add a little weight to the overall rig.

I got them since they were bundled with the RPM Rod ends for the same price.

I prefer stainless steel hollow balls since they are harder and won't wear out as fast as aluminum or brass. My logic is that I prefer my plastic rod ends (cheaper) to wear out rather than my more expensive hollow balls. That way when I end up getting slop, I'm 99% sure only the rod ends need replacing.

Another +1 for Traxxas Revo or RPM ends. I use stainless balls.

If SSD is available there, they come with stainless balls and are cheaper.

The VP balls are made to fit Axial, huh? Stop drinking the Kool-Aid and stop overpaying for hollow balls.

Exactly. Brass is soft and quickly wears. One should not use brass hollow balls IMHO.

Yeah I get it, new guy is dumb

I got the brass balls with the RPM Rod ends for the same price so no loss.

I will switch to Steel when they wear out. Thanks for the tip!

This topic was also in the 2.2 section. Use the filter for style and size. You buy these once. Yes, you'll pay to dance, so to speak, but they'll live a long, long time. Now to find what is the next "weakest" link in your Axial Bomber.

People, they are called pivot balls.

Jato, VP pivot balls are wider then axial so there is no side to side play in the skid mounts, axle link mounts, upper link mounts, ect. And the brass wearing, that will take a long time, if anything.

Yeah they were never called "hollow balls".

I've never needed wider hollow balls and if do I try a different brand. Rarely have I had to shim nor have I felt the need for wider hollow balls.

You are forgetting the hollow balls don't only rub against the plastic of the rod ends. They also rub against the screw going through the inside. They will wear. Brass shouldn't be in certain spots. This is one area.
