Exactly! You can always upgrade later.

The HobbyWing WP 1080 is an awesome ESC that, even if you take it out of your Bomber, I'm sure you can find a home for it later in another off road or even on-road car. My Tamiya M07 is ran by the 1080.

I've got you beat (unfortunately!).... in June it will be 2 years since I bought my kit.

I've gathered enough upgrades to build a second one, and a while back lost my mind and also picked up an Ascender K10 so I could immediately go out and crawl for a while.

It's now been upgraded a bunch, as well!

Is the rear axle supposed to be pointed slightly down? When suspension fully compressed, the shaft is level

Mine does a little bit, but I have aftermarket links, so I don't know if it is supposed to, my front axle is pointing a little bit upwards with stock links.

1/8

5mm shafts are for 1/8 scale trucks

Something is wrong as the tailshaft should be straight at full droop.

I thought the same thing. And I do have the longer links in the rear But look at the pic. See how it looks like the axle is slightly rotsted with the pinion down

If you lengthen your top links slightly you can adjust the pinion angle. Just unthread them a couple turns.
