Get the holmes Hobbies trailmaster sport 550 21T motor. It's more torque, more power and never heats up Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

It really depends on what u want to do with the Bomber, I feel those electronics you picked out would work fine on some light trailing. If you wanna play on rocks, that set up might fail on you pretty quick. The bomber in my opinion need a 550 size motor if your going to run brushed. I really like these motors by Holmes. Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster Sport 550 21T Motor Buy the 27T version if you plan on being the rocks more. 21t give u some better wheel speed. I like the Hobbywing esc, having a few in my rigs, I can say they are reliable and super easy to program and use. Plenty of power for most crawlers. My 2cent, if your trailing you should be fine with that servo, but once again if you play on rocks like I do, that servo might be the first thing to go out. The torque seems aliitle low. I totally understand being on a budget, but you should buy a better servo, even if you have to save up a few extra weeks, it’s totally worth it. The servo take such a beating on the bombers, you need a tough servo. I bought one of these and a year ago and still holding strong. ProModeler - 470oz-in, Std, BLS #DS470BLHV Or a Holmes BLS HV500v2 servo if you can find one in stock. Same price. Have fun what ever you do! ![]() |

For crying out loud... If I tried to buy that exact list in Australia is be up around 1k. The bomber kit alone is over $600 I think I'll sell my house and all my posessions, move to the US and buy a mansion, fast car and all the RC's I want and still have change left over. Oh.. forgot I have a wife and 2 kids.. damn. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Or a Titan 550 21T motor. That ESC is fantastic. Get a 2 speed and waterproof servos for some great creek action. That’s a heap of fun. Plus you can just hose the rig off afterwards. On 3S with that motor and ESC with a 2 speed the Bomber is a lot of fun and extremely reliable. |

| ![]() Off topic, please excuse me, but what if you order it from the US? As far as I understand, you don't have to pay any import fees for orders of less than AUS $1000? Correct? I am about to move to Australia, so I am rather curious. That would mean, that you would pay US prices if you ordered from Amain or Tower.

I believe you are correct about the under 1k (or maybe it's $900) but the cost of postage would be around $100 or so anyway so may as well just buy some things locally. $490us is about $650au + $100 or so postage. Bomber kit I found locally for $600.. not sure on the motor and esc but being brushed can't be much. I know I said 1k but realistically it would be maybe $800 (savox servos go for about $90 here) Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Don’t move to Australia, I have a buddy that moved/ran away to Australia, he said things were so expensive that he couldn’t buy a pair of jeans, or shoes, when he came back to Canada his shoes were all torn up, and his jeans looked thread bare...but I don’t think he went with the intention to stay in Australia, I think he was trying to travel the world, and got stuck there with no visa, so he had to take work were he could find it, but it was mostly low paying labour work.

Lol where do you think Australia is lol.. you can buy a pair of shoes for $20 and eat for a few $$ a day if your not lazy to cook. Also.. our wages are higher on average and we all get free healthcare :-) People doing my job in the US get paid maybe 2/3 of what I get doing the same job (we are a global IT company) It just seems that some recreational goods cost more due to supply and demand... Unfortunately both my hobbies fall in those categories lol. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Oh, sorry this was 15-20 years ago. I recall him saying he had to take jobs under the table, and $20-30 was about the going rate for the work he was able to find for a couple nights per week...he said he tried to save for a pair of running shoes, but it was running shoes, or food for him, and his cousin for the week. I don’t think they were able to work every night, they might’ve had to split the job with others through the week. When he left I don’t think he had a whole lot of job skills though. Brushed in a Bomber is lame. It runs hot and doesn’t have much power. I would go with a Casle Mamba X combo and go with a lower KV if you don’t want a lot of speed. I run a 2280 kv myself.

The 550 motors are fine in the bomber, no heat issues and lots of torque. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Well you spelled "not" wrong in the title of this thread so I'd say that's a sign to go ahead and order it! You'll love the Bomber. I would agree that the Bomber is best suited to big power like a Tekin ROC412 or Holmes Puller Pro with a Mamba X ESC, but what you have here is a great start and I'm sure you'll love it. For now I'd suggest a 550 motor and a better servo. That servo is too weak for a 2.2 rig. |
