Building the Kit, question about the shocks....

I'm in the process of building the kit version and I've run into 2 small issues regarding assembling the shocks.

1) Which of the blue shock rod ends should be used? There are three different rod end lengths on the AX31300 parts tree but does not correspond to (1) given on step 31 of the instructions.

2) Did you guys get two pieces of the AX80033 parts tree? That's what it says in the manual, but I only got one which means that I don't have enough of the plastic hollow balls to complete my build.

I just used the middle set
Not the long or the short
The medium

And also my kit came with 2 sets of those plastic hollow balls. I believe your probably only short by 2 hollow balls.

Thanks Eddie. There are 4 hollow balls per tree, so I'm actually 4 short. (One on the top of every shock)

I forget which shock end I used. I think it was the longest ones, but I'm not positive.

If you call or email Axial they will send you a tree out. But it'll take at least a week to receive it. They don't work quickly and they use economy shipping.

Resurecting an old thread, I'm missing a part tree with the axial balls as well...

I dont care for the Ball since I will use à brass one from the vanquish RPM Rod ends but i wanted to try the variable rate but im missing 2 sets...

Resurrecting an old thread once again, but which of the three shock end lengths DID most people use since I just encountered the same decision point?

At least I got all my balls, although I had to search for awhile before locating the random, dissociated hardware bag containing my other two shock nuts.

Judging by the age of this original question and the age of the kit, I'm a little surprised Axial never corrected the build manual to reflect the correct parts tree numbers or associated parts. Vaterra took...what, a month to fix the Ascender book bugs after SOP?

I had the longest ones cut off, thinking you'd either get the tallest ride height or have the most shaft inserted that way. Middle's probably safe.

I also swapped to Gmade XDs shocks and they have only 1 rod lenght.
It's similar to the stock bomber middle shock rod end for 103mm eye to eye.
