How is the magnet system holding up? Are the magnets strong enough to hold the body from shifting when you hit stuff?

I've tried the velcro routine for a hidden body mount system, and the problem I ran into was balancing the strength of the velcro to the strength of the adhesive that holds it to the body. I've taken the velcro back off the body (and the paint with it, totally ruining a nice paint job) because the velcro itself overpowered the adhesive backing...

Does anyone know if a Hilux body with original interieur would fit on the SCX10?

The magnets are holding up pretty well. I put a ring of tubing around the washer that the mags magnet to so they dont shift around. I did it in a way where the body can't shift around sideways but if it gets a frontal hit the body can slide backwards to prevent body damage.
Been busy so haven't done much to it. I just added a roll bar to it...

Great looking truck. I like how you fabricated your own parts to make it work. That's half the fun...

That sleeping bag looks like it needs to be chopped in half to make two of them! If I imagine a sleeping bag in the back of a truck, it would not even be long enough to take up half the width of the bed. Just an idea....And those shoes~ errfffff!!! I guess they might fit the person that would sleep in that giant bag. A Big Gay GI Joe and his "buddy" Snake-Eyes!! Broke-back Hasbro!

Thanks! Yeah those scale parts I took from my 1/6th scale counterparts lol. I only put them there for the color contrast. My wife loves those rainbow sneakers.
The sleeping bag is handmade by me using waterproof nylon and fiberfill batting...and its fully functional with working zipper...I think I am gonna make a 1/10 scale sleeping bag for it...when I get some time...lol...
Right now I am trying on some leaf springs for the front axle...I like how it looks more scale but I am trying to figure out how to mount them.

Default Shoe Goo

I see that you used Shoe Goo to glue down the magnets - is it stronger than a hot glue gun?

Havent used hot glue before so I really can't say. But from my experience hot glue doesnt really hold...maybe its just me...but I really like shoe goo...especially being that the magnets have such a smooth surface....I dont think hot glue would hold it well...

The body is attached using tablet shaped neodymium magnets. Glue onto hacked stock body posts. I glued them using Shoe Goo and its holding up real good.

Added some stuff to the bed. homemade sleeping bag and bungee cords.
good choice of air max 95s, not quite scale but cool.

Hi i am new to the forums and everything and i was wondering what did u use to make the sleeping bag and bingee cords? The orange rope also looks like a shoe lace of some sort.

Do you think the magnets interfere with your electronics?
