That color looks great. Did you have to remove the drivers legs or trim the bottom of the seats to get him to fit?

Thanks.

I think this one is pretty much done. I cut my driver in half at the waist to make him fit. I first thought it would look funny, but now that he's in his spot its nowhere as bad as I thought it would be.

The next one will get the full interior treatment treatment. I did'nt think I could pull it off on this one, I was trying to keep the ride height reasonable. I did'nt want it to look like a monster truck. You have to lift the body quite a bit to fit a full interior. Or move the motor and run a transfer case...

Thank you. This color is really nice, it looks gold outside in the sun, and almost orange in low light. The pictures don't really do it justice.

I cut his legs off at the waist w/ a Dremel wheel, and hogged out the underside of his right arm to make it "hug" the armrest better and not look like his arm is so cocked up in the air. And relieved the outside of his left arm so it hugs the bar of the rollcage (My man is so jacked on steroids, he had trouble gettin' in the cab!) His arm is CA'ed to the armrest and his hands are CA'ed to the wheel and shifter.

There were no modifications needed to the body, other than drilling one hole through the seat for the screw that holds him...

I run an r2d and its sits about 1/8 in above the servo and mount and the interior is about 1 1/2 deep

Love it! Awesome paint job man. I did the same gold on my other cgr body. I backed it with spaztix chrome to give it a shimmer and then black to darken it. You did a much better job doing two tone than I could ever do though. Does anybody do custon lexan paint jobs? I need my rc bike painted like my 1:1 bike.

Sorry I threw the empty can away, and I don't remember the exact name of the finish. But I can tell you it is made by Testors, has a black label w/ a cap the same color as the paint, and says "dries in minutes" on the label.

They were in their own little rack at my LHS.

Yea, I can't wait for the puller it should make this thing a whole new beast.

I'm workin on some video for everyone, I'm just super busy at work now...

7t Cobalt Puller - Whoa!!

This motor is a beast. The brushes and comm are like twice as big as a normal motor.

ESC is a Tekin FX-R. 2c LiPo power. 23/87 gearing.

I've only run it in my basement test area, and it is impressive so far.

It creeeeeps along so slow, yet still smooth as butter runnin' off a hot biscuit. It seems a lot harder to stall at low RPM's than motors I'm used to, it's got mad torque on tap. The drag brake seems really strong.

Mash the throttle and it'll spin donuts on the hardwood floor. Waaaaay more wheelspeed than a 35t on the same voltage.

Sickness...

I got a chance to run the Cobalt Puller today at a spot behind the Hedgesville Post Office. Like a quarry type area. The truck was performing so good I couldn't resist getting some phone cam shots. No poses, every shot was driven into and out of.

This chassis performs very well, even though I've purposely limited the articulation/suspension travel a little from stock. Many times over the course of the session my jaw was laying on my chest as the truck made sections I thought for sure would stop it. It's way more capable than I thought it would be.

This motor is fabulous. I have to say it's a pleasure to experience a good quality motor for a change, it blows away any mass-produced motor I have in my hoard. It has superb low end torque and control, it can creep very slowly through stubborn terrain w/o stalling. The torque of a 65t and the wheelspeed of a 27t all in one package. No compromises.

On to some pics. My phone is not bad if you're not too close:

Amazing build Mike. I would have to say your Blazer is one of the best I have seen. The inverted lights is a great idea and I might have to barrow it for my truck. Thanks for the tips and I will keep an eye out for your next build.
