Looks like this is gonna be a cool build. Can I ask where you're getting the body from? |

Well i finally got the body through from Hong Kong . so much better than having to paint a lexan body! I have yet to put the wing mirrors on yet, or the bumpers. The above photo shows the only real fault with the body, the windscreen wipers are on upside down. (no they dont rotate :( ) The last could of pics are the body and interior jsut sat on the chassis. Need a little trimming to get the body lower which will be done once i know how i am going to attach the body... ...suggestions on body mountings? Also, I knew before i ordered, but the wheelbase is slightly too long for the body, what are the options for shortening it slightly? |

Nice body there. I'd probably mount it with velcro, shure wouldn't want to drill holes in it. Shortening the links is easy especially if you have access to a lathe. Just face off one end of each tube to shorten them and extend the thread in the tube if needed with an M3x.5 tap.

hadnt thought of that. any ideas on how much i should remove from each end of the links? (i'll do the rears only i think.) i need to loose about 1/2" of wheelbase.

Not really shure how much needs to come off. I'd probably take 8mm off the bottom 2 tubes, assemble them and see what the wheelbase is. Once you get the wheelbase close eye up about how much you need to take off the top links. Remember removing material is a lot easier than putting material back on. |

Just wondering, what kind of velcro would you use. Obivously I would need something that is strong so the body don't come off. | |

I'm building the same truck. To shorten the wheelbase I use SWX lower links with a 7mm spacer for mock up. For upper links I used stock AX10 uppers and the wheelbase is real close. Maybe 2mm short. Good luck and don't paint yours the same color as mine lol. |

got a link to the SWX lower links? i take it these will be a bolt on job? would bending the standard link shorten them (for the straight distance axle to skid)? how easy would it be to bend the standard links? Cheers |

Would it work to use some of the grey posts that axial have here: http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/ax10o...s_spacers.html would it work if i used some of these (once i have worked out the link length i need)? or have you guys got any other ideas that i can do? Ideally i want a stock looking setup thats a bolt on job. |

could someone with an SCX check something for me. do you think i need to reduce the front links by 13mm to give me an overall 0.5'' wheelbase reduction?

I think i saw that the wipers are not attached to the body, surely there must be a way to flip em around and glue 'em back? ( for mounting the body you could also go with strong magnets ) grtz! |

Nice this is exactly what i had in mind to build was thinking to buy the axial sxc10 and that body allready is stored in my rc garage, the wipers is something that must be wrong because mine (2) are the wipers also mounted upside down. Maybe they use it for wipe the platters that fly up from the road héhé (UK people) |
