| had to do a little adjusting on the rock sliders. didn't like where they first were mounted, little to far forward, to close to the front wheels moved them back 1/4'" , a lot better. on to the main cage !! got the biggest part installed ,with just a little adjusting to do to it yet. starting to take shape. plenty room for a dash board & the camera ill keep U up-dated !! |

Nice build, this one is going to be awesome! Are you going to keep the transparent doors like the 1:1? Can't wait to see it finished! |

| Thanks man, I can't wait for this one! Yes sir! The doors will be left unpainted to give the look of the plexi doors in the 1:1. It will also be good because then you can see out when the camera pans over there, plus I don't have to build a door panel! |

Looks like a fun little rig, I wasn't a fan of that body in the past, but I have a feeling this one is gonna turn out sweet. |

| big progress once the main chassis was figured out. the rest came together fairly fast !! just tack welded for now. plenty of room 4 the battery under the hood ! ended up cutting about half of the body off. just barley enough room for the camera. upper side panels & roof will be alum. the start of the dash ! now, on to the bumpers & a few other things. more to come !! the DmG |

| Staring at the pics I have decided that the Flat Irons are just a little too short. I wanted to run the Mud Thrasher tires because they pretty closely resemble the Cooper Tires that Jake and Scott run on the Tracker. I just don't think they would fill the wheelwells the way I want. So....... I just ordered up a set of 1.9 Rok Lox tires and threw on a set of black Axial Beadlocks for the time being. I will ditch the wheels later but I need to save up for what the real ones will cost me |

| The winch on the 1:1 is tucked up under the grill. It is actually pretty hard to see. I will probably put one in the same spot. See if you can see it in a picture, if not I will get one from Jake or Scott. Edit: I'm getting pics now! Last edited by Harley; 09-10-2009 at 08:33 AM. |
