The right side mount. the trans is raised on the right side to let the motor sit lower in the chassis

Have you modified the spur shaft of your tranny to fit a Axial Spur (pitch48) or are u using the stock Summit Spur and Pinion? I´m trying to fit an Axial spur on this tranny so I can use my motors, and pinions on configurating.....
Do you have closer pictures of the motor mount mount and the pinion setup?

Any troubles puffing lipos ?

What lipos and spur and pinion are you running ?

I have a summit trans scx and had a 19t brushed on 1300 3s lipo and puffed it big time to point it split the heat shrink with stock spur and 15t pinion.

neamerjell 10-26-2010 10:19 PM

I don't think you'll have to worry about breaking it...

This thing looks like you could drop it off of a 3 story building and it would hit the ground running and keep on going!

I am curious as to how this truck handles the extra weight. Does it appear to be top-heavy, or is the weight evenly distributed?

Nice build Will, truck looks sick!"thumbsup"

The battery in this is a Thunder power 2250mah pro power 30c and it is quite puffy, not to the level yours is and it is still charging and acting fine. i just counted and Im running a 12 tooth pinion so probably a little easier on the batt.

Actually this truck just took a dive out of my hobby cabinet the shelve measures 60" and sightly tweaked the rear spare tire cage, must have done a 180 by time it hit the ground.
Of course its more top heavy than a simple scaler but its also 3 times as fast so... trade offs you know, it does well at the scale comps, and climbs amazingly well
