I stripped out my stock axial trans just before the comp and within five minutes of bashing in the back yard the day after the comp so I invested in a aluminum case and robinson metal gears. But I was having a hard time with the crazy heavy hardened output gear. So I chucked it in my Mill and ground through the hardening then drilled it, too bad it hides away inside a case.

Cut the front fender tubes, fabbed front shock mounting, new zero ackerman zero bumpsteer steering, the hand brothers axle mount is still there. but i raised the servo so the axle could sit closer to the framerails.

and this upper cage with its single screw has worked excellent holding the body. Although now ill have to do something for the bedsides and probably the hood also.

The steering is metal plates attached to vanquish high steer knuckles. I decided to build the zero ackerman into the front actuated rear tie rod plates.

Its Been a while since Badd Busted Me on the whole "truggy" thing. I cut those rear rails out a while ago.
Yeah its the F100 body...

And remember these pics are from quite while ago if you want to start telling me that it doesnt have a summit trans and a 13.5turn tekin brushless setup...

what kind of rod ends are you using?

are the output shafts on the summit tranny 5 mm?

Looks like I have to start collecting new parts...

i still dont understand how you get the body off....

The winch line is 80lbs test "dacron" from the local anglers inn. Im trying to find it online. its not expensive it is definalty strong enough, and looks scale. Only drawback is it does abraid on the rocks if it gets smashed by the tubing. Ive added zip ties around the bumpers so it doesn't see that abuse

3r aluminum axles and 2250 8t

Finally gotten through some 1:1 cars/shows, and have some time to play/work on toys. Last scale comp i made it to i trashed another axial plastic housing, So I called the partners in crime at Tammies hobbies and ordered up some of the 3r aluminum housings, worked them up and have gotten the front one installed. Also bolted the 8t motor in, need to wire it up. All these parts are going to end up in the "too much thinking TTC" rig, but might as well test and drive till that thing gets completed. I Signed up for the scale nats so that is definitely some motivation.
