scx10 f150 truggy

so Ive been bitten by the scale bug and seem to have gone completely mad.
the chassis is tig welded 1/4 inch brake line on a scx10.

specs:
mayhem 7 comp wheels 2.2
hpi rockgrabbers
axial axles with overdrive front gears
dna dig
reversed motor on custom mount
hand bros frame mounted steering servo kit
losi comp shocks
rc4wd key fob remote winch

and a seemingly endless list of things left to do.
Inspired by the top truck challenge. going to have a multitude of tire setups for the different scale comps coming up.http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/w...I/GEDC3113.jpg

twilight 10-24-2009 01:17 PM

modern gloss look im thinking especially if you are painting all the bars

CrazyAce211 10-24-2009 02:56 PM

It's a tank! Great truck!

I say rustic/classic look, and one question.... How you mounting the body on there?

willipmartinni 10-24-2009 04:56 PM

exo mount

im going to build a roof exo cage that pins through to the inner cab cage, pin it through on the four corners and one screw in the center. so no body pins, thats the plan anyway

Great job"thumbsup" I really like the sheet metal work for the interior. What did you use as a metal break to bend it? I am getting ready to start my interior and its my first build so I am looking for some ideas. I do not own a sheet metal break so was hoping there was an easy alternative to making clean bends.

willipmartinni 10-24-2009 07:09 PM

sheetmetal work

the bends were actually made with a 250$ hf but could easily be done on their 35$ one

Man this is an awesome build. You sure are good at fabricating small metal objects.
