I'll be looking forward to this build and really to see what you think of it's performance when finished. I really wanted to use this body for my next build be was worried about the perfomance with the short wheel base compaired to other longer wheel based 1.9.
I ended up picking up a HPI bronco body, but kinda stalled out on building it when I started some of the tube work. If the performance is still pretty good may switch to this body and start building it again.
Your tube work so far looks really good.

I think you might be surprised. Madscrambler, Kaetwo, and PinchFlat all tore it up with rigs this size this year at Montana. Kaetwo and PinchFlat had almost no scale points so it kept them out of the final by about 2 points but the maneuverability of the smaller rigs are awesome. It's kind of a give and take I think. Sometimes steep stuff where you have to reach for something can be harder but almost everything else is easier.

When I'm done I'm going to give it a really good chance. If it works then great! If not I always have my trusty Beckworks toy to fall back on. Any event I've ever ran that in I've been top three.

I saw one of these at a comp in GA and all I have to say is I'm in love.

I have a short'n SCX frame I just might use for one myself. Keep up the work can't wait to see how it comes out.

I'm wheeling Kaetwos old rig(little jeep) that he took to Montana. I love the setup and just like you said, the small wheelbases' only downside is tall climbs; everywhere else it performs amazing.

Rig is looking great Zach. Can't wait to see the end result

Well, tube work is most of the way done. I've made it so I can dove tail the body like this one or if the scale rules don't let me I can just put on a normal body. It's all 1/8th inch tube to keep things more in scale so I did a fair amount of bracing but it's still quite light.

I want to lower it about 3/8" for the stance I am looking for. I'm thinking that I might be able to fit a full interior now which would be killer! It's far from done but getting there.

Looks really good, I may just have to pick this body up and build up the scx kit that I have just sitting there waiting for something.
Tube work looks really nice. The stance with those rok lox looks spot on for the type of rig your after!

I think so too. I just wish they would get something finalized already.

3, kind of. The TTC truck is on hold for now. I'm now sure if I'll end up finishing that one or not. But, I'm heading down to St. George this weekend and I need something for the boy to drive so I'll probably finish it up quickly.

Thanks, it needs an interior, bad! I've got to figure out seats though. I don't think recaros or RCGuys will work. Maybe I'll go and throw in a floor at least for now. That would help a ton.
