as for the pumkins, .. lol i actually cut, molded and glued aluminum from a beer can to make a skid plate. haha i wanted a skid plate but the aluminum actually hangs up on rocks more that the plastic.
Yeah I wondered if the aluminum would hang up, but they look cool! I just got back from running my scaler, bashed for about an hour up a little creek.

So I've been trying to decide between a NewBright Jeep 2dr or aProline 2dr Rubicon. I'm leaning towards the Proline body for ease of use (I don't know if I want to deal with trying to get the NewBright body to fit right). This makes me lean even more toward the Proline body. I LOVE the rear bumper with swing-away tire carrier. That is a MUST HAVE for a Jeep (IMO).

Ya for sure! Do you have the regular RTR or the longer Honcho? I'd go with the Proline body. Super easy to deal with, durable and you can paint it whatever color you want and it wont scratch off cuz you dont have to paint it on the outside.

I paint inside and outside just so it wll scratch. I painted the inside with Tamiya Gun Metal Grey and the outside in the blue that matches my truck the best. Now, when the blue scratches, it looks more realistic.

As for the fenders. Your wrong and need to know what the hell your talking about before you post some random crap. The 1.1 comes either way. i thought about doing them black but i wanted the painted look. i think its cleaner. thanks for the thoughts though.

The JK Rubicon is only available with black fenders, along with the X and sport models. The Sahara is the only JK that comes stock with body matching painted fenders, and starting in 2011 color matched hard tops are optional on Sahara models.

I have a 1:1 JK Rubicon Unlimited if you need any close up pictures for reference.

Your truck is awesome, its nice to see the proline jeep on there instead of a new bright! Question for you, did you buy those wheel wells or make them? Id like to get me some just like them, thanks!
