Looks good and all but most 4 links I've seen that use only the 2 top posts end up in failure cause they snap off the housing, just thought I'd let ya know so you can keep an eye on them.

Thanks for the replies guys, it's all helpful stuff. NHMaxx, it doesn't get in the way when flexing bit it's a bit close though. The more I look at the exhaust the more I think it doesn't suit the vehicle, any ideas on this guys? I'm love doing fabrication work so any excuse to make another one is great. LIKES2CRAWL, I thought that myself, just hope it lasts. It seemed an easy way to mount at the time. Last edited by Neeley; 12-01-2010 at 03:09 AM. |

I bought a kit from hpi that includes some mirrors, a intercooler, and a muffler. I used a body reamer to cut a hole in the back of the cab near the bottom. Then with the included mounting hardware i installed it at a 30 degree angle pointing out . Here are towerhobbies links to the kits. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXYDN3&P=M http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTGZ4&P=M |

Got any pics of your rig with all that fitted chap? The exhaust is no more, didn't like it so Mk-II is nearly ready to be fitted today. It's totally different to the first one. Pics coming a bit later on. | |

Ok here goes, exhaust MkII I'm happy with this one even though it took around 3 hours to polish it shiny. There's a couple of rough marks but it adds character. Last edited by Neeley; 12-06-2010 at 10:05 AM. |

Need some help, which one is best I can't decide? Or would something completely different look better? 1. 2. 3. 4. |

I like the 2nd one. I would try to keep the stinger hoop about the same height as the hood. I think it seems to look better. and with how wide it looks like you are going with th stinger hoop can you fit a winch and lights?

Thanks.. the aim is to mount the lights on the body instead of the bumper, it just seems neater to have all the lights from the same wiring point. Still not sure on the bumper, ideally I want to make something that looks different to the stock one. I'm leaning towards something near number 4. |
