I'm no expert on much, but one thing I do know, the Flat-Irons are hard to beat (on a scaler). Seems a lot of folks like the Slingers just due to the "cool-factor" but from what I've seen, they are not "all-that". I'd put that money elsewhere. IMO....

I have had those tires and they are horrible, stick with the flat irons or get some pitbull 1.9s. Those tires have zero grip, but they look great. I just get annoyed when I know my truck is easily capable of a line and the damn tires wont stick, I can happily say I have not had that issue with the pitbulls. As for the other upgrades they all sound good, I would look into going lipo if your esc will allow though, much smaller and easier.

I'd 4-link both front and rear. Why just do the rear.... You talking about the Internal-sprung HR shocks??? I run the 90's with no problems. I can't give a good recommendation on the motor or the batteries. I run the stock 27T Green-label, which last a long time and flat packs.

i say pit bulls, they stick like glue. and maybe a 35t motor good torque and speed when you need it. the 55t will be slow as hell. as for shocks , look at the traxxas big bores. good luck on what you decide

The 1.9 Mudslingers are a shorter tire. As for shocks I'd look for something in the 80mm-90mm range, if you are for sure going with the Slingers. I know there are a few people that have trimmed them up a bit, but not sure if there were any performance increases or not.
