For me its Novak Rooster, Goat, M2 Dig.

I've tried a Traxxas xl5 but hated its brake system

I've also got an Ansmann Sirius Crawler esc which behaves exactly like the novaks.

Go with the Holmes Hobbies BR-XL Waterproofed. Hands down the best ESC for the SCX-10. Buy one here. Well, I see it is out of stock now, but worth the wait. I had to wait a few weeks when I bought mine before some were available.

You will really enjoy your SCX-10 when you get it crawling.

**See bill, I can be helpful and nice.

That seems eerily similar to a Castle Sidewinder and also works with the Castle Link. Not to mention a Sidewinder can be had for a lot less then $99. Definitely another alternative.

Actually, yes I just found an awesome speedo last night. I had a spare esc laying around that came out of a Losi XXX-SCT, so i decided to slap it in the Dingo seeing as how it has lipo cutoff and I'm running a brushed motor. Come to find out that it is the exact same esc in the Losi Night Crawler and has "crawler mode" that works perfect in the Dingo. Can't beat it for $50.

Look closer, it is merely the same plastic case. 25v rating, brushed only, more powerful BEC, among other features that are different.

The old addage: You get what you pay for is definately true when it comes to RC electronics.

I burned up multiple Sidewinders, and a HPI esc I had laying around before coughing up the dough for a BRXL. By far the best brushed ESC, and for another $10 it'll come already waterproofed. I would have saved money in the long run if I'd just spent it correctly the first time.

Get the 35T sportsmaster combo for the best deal.

Or if you want to run a brushless motor get a Castle MM Pro.

the BRXL is my favorite over the fxr. personal opinion, but they are similar in price, but the brxl resales at a higher price usually. and you can get it waterproof for piece of mind like i did.

on top of that, mr. Holmes has great customer support from what i have seen. he very quickly answered a question before and after i bought my esc.

just my 2 cents.
