Lock-tite your set screws. Also put another screw 180* from the screw that's already there. So that you have the transmission output shaft sandwiched by 2 screws. (Right now you have 2 screws on 1 driveshaft. Make it so there is 4 screws per driveshaft.) Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk |

Take a file or dremel and cut a small notch not very deep just enough for that set screw to set down in and if you do use loctite use the blue kind I always use silicone it's a lot easier to get the set screw out if you need to loctite will sometimes cause you to strip one and it's a pain to drill em out J-bird |

Another thing that helps to not strip screws is to ditch the tiny grub screws. I use just really short with a 2 or 3mm hex head. I strip way fewer 3mm screws than I do 1.5mm screws. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk |

......also allow said loctite to set up for 2-3 hrs or even overnite for best results. Loctite your grubs and run the rig right away will do nothing to help your cause. |

I don't use locktite, fingernail polish seems to do the trick just fine. After that drive shafts quit coming off. I ran 5 hard hours yesterday with no problems.

Don't the new Dingo and Honcho models have a similar set up to the Wraith? I.e a hole in the output shaft so you can screw the grub screw or whatever all the way into it? If so, does anyone know what parts would need to be ordered to set up an older Honcho / Dingo with the same set up? |

even with mip's the above suggestion's are a good idea(4 grub screws and blue loc-tite). otherwise samething, screws loosen and off they come. face it we all have a loose screw! lol

The stock outputs are also soft and when you tighten down hard it smashes em'. Hardened shafts help alot.

This has been an issue forever. I added a button head on the opposite side and never had a problem with them coming off as seen in post #12 in Pin Through Options For Drive-shafts? There is a lot of info that may be useful to you in that thread also. It's really not that hard to fix.

those will work on the axle side, but only with the original ring and pinion gear set. you would also need AX30435-001, AX30435-003 for the transmission side, and AX30784Drive shaft Coupler, AX30785Drive shaft Output,AXA175Screw Shaft M3x2.5x11mm,AX80084UV Joint Driveshaft.

| Re: My driveshafts keep falling off This. Everybody blames the shafts when the outputs are the root of the problem. And if it does hold on the output snaps. I believe since the 2.4 radios have been in the RTR's that they have came with the steel outputs instead of the powdered metal ones and now they come in the pin-thru style.
