yeas along the issue of bein top heavy i would relocate ur batterey from where u have it like this :
ur wiring is neater then mine of course but the lower batterey would really help ur cog emensily other then that its a very clean looking rig man iv always been a huge fan of the cherokees thats for sure

Have to agree. Tire on top and battery location are limiting your trucks performance. And if you haven't, put some lead in the tires. Also, 5000 mah is too big IMO. That's about 3-4 hours run time. I would do 2000-2500 and switch out after an hour and a half versus all that weight. I also prefer 3S on a 35T and gear down.

That's where I had my battery before but I have an H2 interior on its way and have to make room for it.

As for the tire, its going in the back once my interior is in. Either that or find a nice bumper with a spare rack.

Right on the money. I tried a large 3s battery (5400 3s, similar to what is in Blacksheeps pic) and I was shocked at the weight. It was inexpensive and works well battery wise. But even mounted in a good low spot, it is bad on weight and performance. Mostly I run around 2250 or so lipo's which perform much much better. And with normal crawling/scaling they offer still a ton of run time on a 35 turn motor. Costs a tad more then a single large battery, but the performance is way worth it.

I would maybe move the power switch or eliminate it as well. That area can still come in contact with rocks and other terrain. They break fairly easy.

Nice looking job on what you have done so far.

with a smaller lipo and the H2 interior you should still be able to put the battery between the front shock hoops and the interior...lay it up on it's side.

I have mine set up this way.

Since this pic was taken I've lowered the battery tray about a 1/4" and I run weight in the front wheels, I run a 4000 and some times a 5000 3S lipo. The truck climbs hills really, and side hills pretty good as well.
