| 4 link wiith CMS???
Anyone know of a 4 link mount that will work on the front axle, and clear the servo horn with the hand brothers cms?? Most ive seen will be too tall and contact the servo horn under articulation.

I've seen the TCS boomerang 4 link up front with a hands bro CMS setup on here before. However the links were modded and the boomerang I think was grinded down a bit...might wanna try Google images search. Let me know if you find it...I plan on doing so with my Honcho one of these days!

I myself, am using the factory axial 4 link truss upfront, with the factory plate bolted to the side of the frame and have no clearance issues at all.

You won't get proper articulation using 4 link with a CMS. You will get binding hence why every kit says REMOVE the 4th link. But who reads instruction. Not you.

To get full articulation from a Panhard barred axle, the 4 links need to not be triangulated, so that the panhard can control the side movement. With triangulated links they are fighting the panhard under movement, if you remove an upper link (3 linking) it takes out most of the bind. An option would be to mount the upper links further out on the axle, like directly above the lower link mounts. This is why they remove the 4th link on a CMS with a panhard link.

yes, if i 4 link it, the panhard will not be there, with the 4th link it is kinda pointless to keep it as the 4th link locates the axle. I am trying to extend my front axle about 1/4-1/2 forward, and it puts the whole panhard/3 link out the window for sure. the only part i want to keep is the actual servo mount.

So I went to the LHS the other day on lunch break and they had a RTR Honcho on display. I was looking at any significant improvements in design besides the rear 4 link and slightly better electronics versus the old Honcho (RTR and kit version). I was expecting the front end to be 4 linked somehow like the Ridgecrest (I know different axles). Is there a way to use the rear AX10 style 4 plastic 4 link mount on the front axle and 4 link the front as well? Plan on keeping the servo on the axle to avoid bumpsteer. If anyone has pics that would be great! |

As far as I can remember back, I believe I had a scaler a few years back where i did have both the front and rear 4 linked with the stock honcho 4 link mounts. I believe it works with very little modification to the front axle or servo mount.

the new honcho rtr has a second 4 link truss and links in the extra parts baggy. the truss is identical to the rear 4 link truss. you'll have to make sure You use the correct set of extra links as there are also a whole set of Dingo links in there as well. you'll have to provide ur own 3mm hardware though ( to mount the 4 link truss to axle and bolt/nut that hold the links to the truss) as you get no extra hardware in he bags |

I used the R2J trusses on mine with the factory plate bolted outside the frame.
