Got the driver side bezel glued in place. I drilled three #19 drill holes in the body and applied Shoe Goo from the inside through the holes. Once I glue the light bucket in it should add some more strength.

I think it looks better than the decals that were there.

Re: Dual Dingo build thread-My first build thread

I'm thinking of adding a badge. I know it is smaller than the one on the original decal. It's 1/2" in diameter. I'll paint it black and will be adding one of the decals from the sheet. The other could be the square one. The color would be black and the decal looks like it would show just fine since white is in it already.

What do you guys think?

What do you think of the idea of the badge on the grill? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm not really sold on either one yet. The styrene is too thick for one thing and I don't want to spend $3-4 on more right now.

This is the third Trailer video I made. Last one for now. I'm working on a trail video now.

Get'n ready to start making the LEDs wiring setup. Layed the parts out to see if I have what I need.

For power I plan on pulling 6V from my Castle BEC which it is set at. I'm using a servo Y harness to split off the power. The amp draw is minimal, milliamperes is what we will pull from the BEC. You can figure that using LED series parallel array wizard.

These are the mini DPDT toggle switches I will be using. Got these off of eBay. I pack the toggle opening will dielectric grease. I'm going to use servo extensions wired to the switches so I can disconnect the body. I might need to plastic dip just for the fact the body needs to get washed. Not sure if its needed or not.

Re: Dual Dingo build thread-My first build thread

I made some wiring diagrams to guide me along. If I'm right, all the negative wires can be tied together along the way back to the negative tap from the BEC. the positive wires have to lead back to the outter taps of the switch. The center tap will be the positive power from the BEC. The left diagram is for the headlamps and tail lamps only. You can see I'm using the left side of the switch terminals. I'm connecting the positive to both out taps so if the switch forward or back, the lamps will be on. The diagram on the right is to power the large lamps on the bumper. They are wired on the right side of the switch and only to the front taps. When switch is back main lamps and running are on. Switch forward and main, running and large lamps of bumper are on. This is what you should be able to do with a DPDT switch.

Update:

Just noticed on the diagram, I left the headlamps off the left diagram. I've decided to have main lamps and running lights on at the same time. I originally planned on the running lights and then switching on headlamps. Doing this leaves switch 2 with one side open in case I add a light bar.

The plan is for three stages:
1- main lamps and running lamps
2- main, running and lamps on bumpers front and rear
3- rock lights on the Dingo with fender wells
4- OPEN, might be for light bar

I will draw up new diagrams tonight.

IF IM WRONG ON ANY OF THIS, PLEASE CORRECT ME, thanks.
