The RTR and kit could come with the exact same parts. I'd still want the kit. And no, buying a RTR and tearing it down and rebuilding even though necessary, is dumb. I'd MUCH rather get it in a zillion pieces all totally NIB and put it together myself the 1st time. I can't believe anyone would even question the point of a kit.

I know the kit will come eventually.. I'm just excited to see the RTR getting out there to people and I look forward to what people do with them and seeing videos of them in action.

As im currently in the process of moving, when I get to my dest ia will pick one up as I already have it on hold at a lhs there. I also have an rpp cart full of choice upgrades for it waiting to hit the pay now once I have an addy to ship it to. As for links. . Even kit ones dont suffice me. So r2j stainless ones are also on the list. Absolutely cant wait toget this as a fun play toy while my real build slowely gets done.

I have already seen other post where they have removed the stock electronics, replaced them and move the battery to the front. Why we wait for kits.

Yesterday I just got done completely disassembling and properly relubricating mine and setting up the drivetrain. Very minor mods for now though.

My wife is getting me one for Christmas. I already have a Holmes 30 turm motor to put in. I may wring the crap out of that stock motor first, just to get a good comparison. I may even see how it handles 3s

The rear bumper size is as follows 7.5 inches wide, 1.0 in deep (the shackle mounts are another.25 in sticking out) x1.0 inches up and down. That's without the spare set up. The spare tire sticks out almost 2.25 inches from the front of the bumper .
