The seller on ebay is rocky_models_hk and the winch is called "1/10 Automatic Winch + Remote Control System CC01 SCX10 D90 F350 Rock Crawler". He acctually doesn't have any on ebay but I know he has more as I have asked him. If somebody is interessted in this winch I could get in contact to him and get him into connection to you.

I also asked him to get them in black or dark grey and he spoke to the factory about that. They told him to think about it and may do it next year. So if you ask also for that colors the probably not only think about it

I've used fabric for the top cover. Used two layers and glued them together with spray adhesive and sewed the edges together.

Thanks a lot for the kind comments. It is motivating me to do more on my rig and to share my experiences with you.

Thanks for the links to the other winches. There as some small differences such as the hook or the winch cable or motor cover but the seems to be basically the same. Nice prices especially I don't need the controllers.

The Jeep is doing very well so far. We had a small challange last Saturday. Was able to take 2. place with my team buddy. Was a G6 but was a bit untypically as there was a lot of dissolving snow (hope that is the right espression) and it was hart to drive. Hope to test it more soon.

This thing is sweet looking! I have the older Dingo kit, and really want the new Rubicon, so this might push me over the edge to get it. Sweet rig, man!

Hey awesome paint job! What color is that? Did you remove the original silver paint or paint on the outside?

Thanks a lot!

I used Faskolor and mixed the gray myself. I painted the body from the outside. I do it always with silver at the inside and the body color from outside so when it get scrached it looks like the bar metal is comming out. So it is perfect Axial did paint the rtr silver.

Regards
Rene

Awesome build man! I'm gearing up to overhaul mine. Still working out what to do about that awful interior. So far I just have a wrestler in mine cut in half. I picked up one of those terminators a few weeks ago as we'll as the robot version. I've got the T-800 driving my wraith right now.

Thanks man!

I have a plan to do a interor too but will probably wait till Axial brings out a clear one so I can work on that while still being able to drive the Jeep. Will place an driver when I have the interior done.

It's been a while since I last shared any upgrades so it's time to show you what I have done the last two weeks.

First I have upgradet the links to aluminum links using parts from Wraith and XR10 I have left from other builds. Also the front upper from the 3-link setup are all aluminum, the links, the Y-piece and the upper link mount. I used one from 3Racing. Hope this will hold up better than the one from Hot Racing.

I used following parts:
Rear upper links: Lower links from the Wraith kit 7x87.5mm with long bend rodends from Wraith
Rear lower links: 7m94mm links from XR10 with long bend rodends from Wraith
Front lower links: Lower links from Wraith kit 7x87.5mm with long bend rodends from Wraith at one side and short bend rodends from XR10 at the other.
Front upper links: Same parts as used with the old Honcho kit. Don't know the part numbers or the lenght but you can find them in the manual which you will find on Axials homepage.

Here are some pics...

While I was doing the links I also changed the hubs and knuckles to aluminum from Axial. Probably not nescessary but I like aluminum

The srew of the servo horn was touching the chassis brace so I made a new servo plate out of a carbon plate and moved the servo 4mm back.

I will probably reduce the ride hight by an spacer in the shock bodies to limit travel as I was not so happy with the car performace at the test last Friday. I will go back on stock shocks to see the difference when driving at the same spot.

I will also redo the paint job on the wheel houses as the paint does not stick on them even though I have used paint for plastic. Will try to give the wheel house a protective underbody look too.

When I bought my Jeep I also got some Pitbull tires and RC4WD steelys. Unfortunately I was not able to mount the Pitbulls on the steelys as the rubber is very soft and the tire bed is popping off the wheels when I tighten the beadlock screws.

So I wanted to take the Gear Head wheels of my Honcho already but then found some new wheels from Gear Head at RPP. A bit difficult to mount the Pitbulls on them to because of the soft rubber but it is possible and worth it I think.

As the offset of these wheels is less than of the stock and the RC4WD wheels I will have to use the wider wheel hubs from Axial to avoid the tire from rubbing against my steering likage.
