Default Vanquish Lockers problem

I know this might be in the wrong place, but this thread gets seen A LOT.

I've got a problem. I'm running these in stock plastic ax/scx-10 axle housings, and the stock axial dog bones are just barely reaching into the setscrew holes. It's only noticeable up front. On one side, the tang comes in just under halfway of the hole, and on the other side, the tang comes in at about 1/3 the width of the hole. I don't think it'd be the locker's fault unless the setscrew holes were drilled and tapped too close together or something.

The only way I can get full contact is if I get thinner shoulder bearings between the housing and the C hubs. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it only applicable to the stock dogbones?

Any ideas?

These things are great though, the back axle works perfectly.

(i posted this in the vanquish products section, but i don't think anyone saw it or at least cared to respond)

I would give vanquish a call, they are very helpful and that will be the best way to get them quickly

Ive got the same problem plus another problem in the front axle. Quite annoying. Im wondering if upgraded dogbones would help.

I solved the problem by taking out the smaller rubber spacer in the inner locker. Works fine now.

I never thought of that. seems anal, but i might shave those o-rings in half so i still have SOME float, but gain a millimeter. either that or ground out the lockers a little bit so the o-rings seat better
